Great coffee — well, they don’t do coffee specifically, they do Americanos. It is a very very small place, but it’s a great addition to the strip.

Maybe the worst donuts for the price. Order 5 and paid almost $ 19. Cronnut… lame, simply better choices in Toronto.

This place has a great ambiance, the staff is super friendly and their donuts are to die for. My favorite is the hazelnut filled one, which is in the picture that I attached. The coffee is pretty good too. The only thing is that there is almost no seating area, which I think would make this place 50x more appealing. I highly recommend the donuts from this place, they have never disappointed me.

This place has their pastries sent frozen from Spain and thawed in Canada. Anyone who says this place is good thinks danishes from the grocery store are good. Research this company. They use a wholesaler from Spain who sends frozen pastries. Have you ever noticed that the store is tiny and doesn’t have a kitchen or even an oven???

Coffee is excellent here and has very cozy ambience. Coffee is reminiscent of jimmy’s very smooth. I was just passing by but next time I will try the kronut which looks amazing

This coffee shop is very unassuming from the outside so you can easily walk past it. I ordered my go-to caffeinated beverage, an Americano and a breakfast sandwich to go. The breakfast sandwich was good too. The croissant was flaky and really buttery YUM! The quality of the coffee is quite good so I’ll definitely be stopping by again for it.

I ordered Custard Croissant. It was old and not that tasty. There were good looking donuts and there was a fly. They had a variety of products very European and they were appealing. A small cute bakery located on Yonge and near Subway stop. The staff is a European and charming man, but their pastries are not that good.

Enterning the store I was greeted in a friendly manner and given an overview of the pastries and coffees available. I have no complaints about the service at all. Both ladies working there at the time were very friendly and helpful. I wanted to try a cronut, which I have never had before, and I saw the chocolate croissants and I had to have one of those as they are a favourite of mine. The cronut was not what I was expecting in the sense that it did not seem at all fresh. I suppose it was descent tasting, but for the price it should be fresh and exceptional tasting. I will have to try a cronut if I ever go to New York and see what the original tastes like. As for the chocolate croissant. What a major disappointment. I have had some croissants that were subpar in the past but this was terrible with an odd aftertaste to it. I don’t know if they were having an off day or what but I cannot recommend the croissant at all. I have seen some good reviews about this place and some poor ones as well, which lead me to believe that BakeryHaus has some very inconsistent baking. Definitely not a quality anyone in the food industry wants to be known for. My recommendation is, don’t go out of your way but if you are in the area maybe try them out.

DONOTBEFOOLEDBYTHEPRETTYDISPLAYS The products from Bakeryhaus are already frozen boxes that are packaged in Spain. So while they can claim they’re selling ‘authentic’ European products, they’re definitely not fresh or even made in this country. They are simply defrosted. The company they source their products from: Europastry, based in Barcelona that claim that they’re the«market leader in frozen dough.» all of the products sold by Bakeryhaus can be found on this website.

I was delighted to discover that the place that sells cronuts and good coffee downtown on Queen opened a little shop up on Yonge in midtown. However, when I tried to go in for my first time last Sunday, I was a little let down when their front door was still locked at 9:33 when the door read that Sunday’s opening time is 9:30(when I went today I overheard that 9am is the new Sunday opening time but they haven’t changed the sign yet). I’m not so uptight that opening a little late is a terrible thing, but when I’m tired, hungry and looking forward to treating myself to a nice morning coffee, I would prefer to go to a coffee house that is consistent with their hours of operation instead of knocking on the door or waiting in the cold.(Recommendation: Rachel’s Coffee House) We went in to Bakeryhaus this morning however and had pastries that were not only delicious and well made, but still warm — something you wouldn’t dream of at one of the chains. The chocolate-dipped cronuts are epic. The latte was a little too milky this morning but still tasty. Overall good enough for me to walk past the Starbucks close by without even thinking of going in again. As the bigger coffee chains lean more and more towards relatively flavorless foods coming out of places that resemble factories and not bakeries, it is so refreshing to have a neighborhood shop serving pastries this fresh and this delicious. The folks at the counter are very nice and the coffee is pretty darn good. Despite the afformemtioned service hiccup I have to say this place has everything going for it and you should absolutely make a point of going in. They have a pretty affordable Americano and croissant deal for under 4 bucks!

I work at a salon up the street from this easy to miss hole in a wall bakery. They don’t have much space, it’s more like a hallway but let me tell you they have the best Americano and a everchanging selection of the finest baked goods. Freshly baked and executed with percision this hidden gem has my business my recommendations would be there Americano, croissants, and seasonal sweets ! Give them a try You will not regret it

My husband and I went for a stroll in the neighbourhood. I was always curious about this place and on one particular day, we decided to go in and check it out. Cute little shop and nicely decorated in a simple way. The smell of freshly baked goods filled the room. Although the bakery was small, there were lots of goodies to choose from. We had the 7 grain croissant and cappuccino. The croissant might have been the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely go back again and try the different pastries at the bakery. Highly recommended for locals!

I love this place. The staff is amazing and the pastries and coffee are super yummy. The only reason I did not put an extra star is because I wish it was big enough to sit and enjoy! But as it is on my way to work I love having a nice Americano and Pastry to start the day. The donuts too are quite something out of the ordinary. I will be a regular!

The barristas are friendly and know their stuff. The coffee macchiato is very good, the sweets are fresh and change daily. Small and medium macaroons(1.99 and 2.35) are tasty and chewy, the big one I had(4.99) was a bit stale. They had chocolate-pecan brownies yesterday — divine! Fresh loafs, croissants, baguettes, I got the honey loaf, small and pricey — 5.25, but it was soooo good! My son got a «chocolate pyramid» — chocolate-orange mouse, shaped like a pyramid. As we cut inside — It had a white mouse burial chamber! We dug canals and added a chocolate pharaoh! That was fun, but the taste was so-so, the ganache was a bit grainy. I am taking one star off only because of the small, cramped space. I wish they had one or two miniature tables outside on the sidewalk!

The décor is quaint. And the staff is pretty friendly. They have a wide selection of sweets, different sizes of macaroons, pastries, cronuts, donuts, cheesecakes and baguettes. I ordered a slice of raspberry cheesecake. It’s soft and fluffy, pretty refreshing! Definitely worth check it out for those who live in the neighbourhood.

New bakery in a little nook for Yonge & Davisville area! The owner is so lovely and I could honestly eat the whole display of goodies! I ordered a coffee & chocolate croissant. Coffee was good and strong & the croissant was everything I expected to be. Flaky outside with the chunks of chocolate goodness in the middle. The only downfall of this place is that it’s very hidden. Plus it would have been better with seating and/or a patio. There is no where to sit to enjoy your treats, you basically have to take everything to do. I’ve seen a lot of business’ come and go from that particular location and I hope this doesn’t happen to them Not having seating for a café setting is an issue unfortunately, especially when you have the big box places like Starbucks, Timmies & Second Cup all around you. Fingers crossed my german place is here to stay! :)
