One of my worst restaurant experiences in Vancouver area. Food quality was horrible. Service was also very bad. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Just because it’s halal and Muslims don’t have many choices doesn’t mean such restaurants can serve you substandard food that gave us all an upset stomach.

This place is a hell hole. The devil wouldn’t even eat here. Everything is made with dark meat and they use ketchup as a marinade. This place really is the worst of the worst.

Been to this location a handful of times and intend to go back many more. The first time we missed the 3:30pm deadline for buffet so we ended up getting an order of Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Rice and a Mango Shake. I found the butter chicken to be excellent, very flavourful, thick, and the meat was tender, I loved it. My dinner partner commented that the sauce was a bit too spicy for him, and now that I think about it, there isn’t a milder option listed on the menu and we weren’t offered the option by the server, although I would hope that if you were to ask they would be able to accommodate. The Garlic Naan was to die for, 2 thumbs up all the way. The mango shake was just as great. The other times we were able to make it for buffet I was just as happy with the food and the service. When going with a group of friends the subsequent times for buffet, again there were a few comments about some of the items being spicy. My one complaint that I had the times that we went for buffet was that the vegetarian items were not clearly marked for those who are unsure or new to Indian Cuisine. Everyone raved about the Naan which is included as a buffet item, but they prepare it fresh for you instead of leaving it under a heat lamp and bring it to your table in a basket(I would suggest putting in your order for Naan as soon as you settle at your table) Another popular item amongst my group of friends were the veggie spring rolls which seemed to disappear entirely after everyone made their first round selections. Buffet is offered from 11:30am — 3:30pm. There are also 30 cent wing and beer pitcher specials. UMG has a restaurant/bar atmosphere and is fully licensed. Parking can be a bit of a pain as it is in a complex with alot of other businesses and the lot is too small in my opinion, but all in all a great option for weekend brunches and more.
