Good standard Japanese fare. Reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow as there was only one server. Restaurant was busy with a large group, 2 smaller groups, people ordering take out and then me wanting to also place an order.
Food tasted fresh. No complaints on the quality of the food. Portion size is a bit smaller than many of the competitors in the area but the prices reflected that.

I will give 5 stars because I think Rokko is one of the best sushi restaurant I’ve been to. The price is acceptable, and the food was fabulous! The tempura was fresh and sunomono was a perfect appetizer. Compared to other sushi restaurants, I feel like Rokko’s food are more healthier and not too salty. I will come here again when I come back to Surrey!

Sour dynamite roll and raw tempura. Gross. Won’t eat here again! Miso was okay though. Not sure if it was an off day.

I always order a: Dynamite roll (no ginger no wasabe) and a veggie yakisoba. With a water. I have been going since we moved down here from Prince Rupert. They still know/​remember my family. Also all the other food is good too.

Okay, I know that there are fancier places, and more expensive places, and more unique sushi to be found in Surrey and Vancouver. And this review should be a 4.75 because the quality is great, family run and friendly and you cannot beat the prices for the quality. We’ve been going here forever… since our kids were small and now they’re out of university and have lives of their own. It’s not fancy, but it’s like coming home everytime we walk in. Sit in the same seat, order the same beer, and more often than not, the same items. Well worth a visit.
