Went for the first of Ramadan for iftari. The staff was quite nice & friendly. The servings were huge. The roti & naans the best. Dishes we had ordered were nihari /chicken karahi. They were pretty good. We took chicken handee for suhoor, that I have to say was a little disappointing because it was more like boiled chicken in a yoghurt curry. I guess they might not have had enough time to cook because we went quite late near their closing time. But overall good experience.

We tried this place out again, and went with some family members for Eid dinner. We opted for the dinner buffet — and we’re really glad we gave this place another chance. The buffet was definitely worth the money, and while it was a bit spicy, it was really good. There was also chai available along with the buffet — the only complain for that was that it was just tea and milk, no cardamom. Also the naan wasn’t spectacular but it wasn’t bad either. So I’d say if you go here you may as well get the buffet — unless there’s only 1 dish you have your heart set on that they don’t have available on the buffet that night.

People are nice. Buffet is a good price. Love the salad bar. But it’s annoyingly noisy sometimes and too many kids just running around. Sometimes they have fruit for desert which is great. Would recommend for large families.

I had their 12.99 buffet on Sunday afternoon. Food selection was pretty limited been a sunday however food was quiet tasty. Butter Chicken was quite good and creamy. Apart from Rice, you can have two different kinds of Naan bread which made per demand. . Buffet includes Chai Tea, all you can drink, and desert.

Not much variety for a buffet. This is a place to go for quantity but not quality. Even when the place is half full they failed to fill up some of the food trays, particularly the breads, as fast as they were running out. the bc health inspaction report is worth checking out at

The food is alright. It’s usually referred as «hit or miss– mostly miss». The buffets during ramadan are a great idea, sometimes the food is good. They need to ensure that there are enough staff on the floor when it’s busy. They need to rethink the pricing of their buffets and menus.

Butter chicken is great. Naan bread is much better than most places. Price good. Note: cutlery and water jug are made of copper and therefore have the metal smell.

Gulberg dining has always been great! but the Kwantlen location ONLY! this particular location is just absolutely terrible. I go there at least a few times a year because of friends and family, and have yet to eat a good meal. Besides the below-par food, the prices are significantly higher than the original location, which in my opinion makes the experience even crappier. If you’re in town and really want to eat gulberg… Skip this location and go to the Kwantlen square one, otherwise go to another place entirely. PS horrible buffet too.

Went to this restaurant a few times Buffet food is way below par, tasted like food was few days old, reheated left overs, tandoori chicken very dry due to reheating ! Beef Nihari was spoilt and stank like crazy, when we reported it to the waiter, he apologized and brought out more of the same spoilt meat, ! TLk about quality control! What a joke! Most dishes were floating in oil! Way better Indian food out there, don’t waste your time and money on this place, they seem to have a group of customers who don’t care about quality

Lunch here — buffet looked good and we went for that. Food way too spicy for myself and friend so experience of dining here not good. Basically ate a bit of plain rice and naan bread is not fun if you aren’t dipping it in sauces. Asian folks there also dining commented about too spicy and they looked like their heads might been blown off…

What you need to know: — Don’t ask for alcoholic drinks; they ain’t got none! — Halal meat is an acquired taste Not sure if my buds were off… but — tandoori chicken was too dry — butter chicken had a grainy muddy after taste

Best desi food north of The border. It tastes like something my family would cook.

My cousin had a dinner here before his wedding and I immediately scouted out the vegetarian options. I went with Channa Masala Curry, which is basically chickpeas with some spices and curry powder. The dish made my nose water, since it was a bit hot, but that’s expected with Pakistani cuisine. The bread was good — standard tandoori naan. I’ve definitely had better and am rating this 3 stars since it’s the best that Surrey can do, for now, in terms of Paki cuisine. I had black tea for after dinner and it was good too.

The service was good but some of the dishes weren’t that good. The paneer pakora, butter chicken, and plain naan were our favourites. The sizzle platter wasn’t very good, the best meat was definitely the tandoori chicken, and I’d recommend just ordering that. We didn’t enjoy the taste and texture of the other meats in the platter. The Spinach Naan was also way too salty.
