When one is desperate for alcoholic beverages in the Guildford area and the local government stores are closed, places like these come to the rescue.
There is also a neighbourhood pub attached to this building, but this review is for the cold beer and wine store.
The inside is pretty plain — no points for the décor. The selection is decent, but nothing special. Beers are a little bit more than government pricing, but the markup is lower than other places I’ve been to. Staff were friendly and helpful, and were able to answer my questions.
One last thing — there are mantraps for both the entrance and exit doors, so don’t try to rob the place. With that said, it must be amusing for the staff and police if someone ever tried.
