Costco

We stopped by for a snack at the Costco food section. It seems like this location is more busy than the Still Creek location I frequent. There were 3 staffers working in the food section and I was confused as to why the line was not moving much. There was a staff member standing, with other staff members with clip boards, near the cashier section telling customers how to line up. The line up was getting really long and some customers were not standing in a straight line. I think it would have been great if the clip board staffers were all cross trained to jump into the chaos and make the food!
It turned out individual customers were buying large quantity of hot dogs and pop to take home. Some customers were packing 5 plus hot dog combos. The staff working behind the food counter do not know what was ordered until they look at your receipt. The line up system is more chaotic than the Still Creek location. People ended up clustering around the pop station waiting for their food.
I did manage to get my slice of pizza to snack on before shopping :)!

An awfully busy place regardless which time or day you visit. On my last visit it took me 30 minutes to buy one item. First 10 minutes cruising around the parking lot trying to find a spot. 5 minutes to find a cart, get inside through masses of people and pick my item. 10 minutes standing in a long lineup to pay and another lineup to walk out. Plus 5 more minutes to drive out. Painful and stressful! This Costco location desperately needs a bigger parking lot, at least double the current size. And probably a bigger space too, it’s overcrowded at times. Some ethnic groups seem to make shopping and sample tasting a family event and you can spot one cart surrounded by 4 – 6 family members easily. MORE SUGGESTIONS: Open another Costco location in Surrey or extend the shopping hours from 8am — 10pm daily.

A Place where white people dont feel ashamed to shop discount in public. A place where items are marked of a small percentage compared to outside retail stores in bulk. In addition, Costco has a great return policy, you can return anything even if it is used to the max. Like my laptop! Ohhhh I felt bad for that mam

I like Costco:
–Its a box store
–FREE samples so tasty
–Friendly old lady that gives me extra samples.
–Its membership only, I like this priviiige
–Lanes are like car lanes, i can weave between people to be faster
–I like cheap prices and massive amount of food.
–I can return it anytime I want.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I’m the biggest fan of Costco! And here is why…
–great deals
–a trusted brand
–no hassel return policy
–truly a one stop shop
–many sample ladies
–cheap foods ie. 1.50 hot dogs + drink etc…
Sure the parking lot may be crazy at times and the line ups are nuts… but I’m still a fan! :)

This is the closest Costco to which Iive and when it gets busy (which is at the most predictable of times) it is an absolute joke how busy it is. I have never been to a Costco that i so busy.
It’s almost like they need to make the lanes at this Costco wider because there are people who are always looking to pass you, because they are in some sort of hurry — or they just want to get to another food sample stand before the old lady has to prepare another round. I can never figure which one it is.

If you don’t mind crowds and love good deals — this is the place for you… but please be prepared to stand in massive lineups (especially if you come on the weekends). Costco is great for large families, but if there’s only 1 or 2 people living in your place, then unless you have massive amounts of storage space — you may be better shopping at Save-​On or Safeway.
The good thing about Costco’s is that all of them all very well organized despite their huge size. and if you’ve been to one Costco — you’ve been to most all other Costco’s. The aisle sizes are quite large as well, which makes it easy to accommodate the huge amounts of people that come there.
In one word — Costco is MASSIVE.
