Church’s Chicken

I was totally impressed with this place! It was my first time and almost didn’t go but I am so glad I did. When we arrived, we witnessed one of the employees taking a box of food out to the homeless man whom they say always walks by but never asks for anything. They also gave him all of the pop cans that were in the recycle bin. What a very kind gesture that went above and beyond. Now as for the food… We ordered the 10 piece pack with fries and gravy. As we were waiting we were offered a fountain beverage which was complimentary (another brownie point) and the whole wait because I wanted to add a white meat piece to the order was very quick. The chicken was crispy without being greasy, moist and the fries were crinkle cut which were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The only thing they could improve on would be the gravy. Although it was deep brown in colour, flavour was lacking but it was okay. I will never go to the «other» chicken place again after my experience here!

Service was great! It was our first time visiting. The chicken was a bit to spicy for my likening. I love there deserts and the rice is to die for! Price were well priced. Place was tidy but could do with an upgrade.

Bought one of those online specials ($ 7 for $ 10 worth of food and free regular poutine) from The RedPocket. What a disappointing visit. I’ve always like their chicken but this time, it was so bland. I’m not sure if their recipe changed but there was no flavour. The free poutine (valued at $ 4) was atrocious. The container was really small that only about 10 fries would fit. The gravy that was used is their standard gravy that normally comes with your order. I was hoping for a darker and stronger gravy instead of bland. The cheese curds could have been warmed up instead of being cool (just taken out from the fridge).
Whatever happened to 10 pieces (legs & thighs) for $ 10? It’s more like $ 18 now.
My big concern is that I purchased two to begin with. I’m hoping that I don’t have to suffer through this again.

«OMG!» Nothing like pouncing on you as so as you enter the door, not even giving you a chance to look and figure out what you want or the prices… AND THE PRICES!
For a 20 bucket of original chicken. Bucket only includes dark meat legs & thighs and if you want white meat the extra charge is an additional .50 cents for EACH PIECE of WHITE chicken (that should be added in the first place); ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So let me get this straight, as I say to the server, «20 Pieces of chicken, only dark meat, 2 small salads, gravy and box of large fries all for ONLY (her words) $ 45.00 not including tax.
Note: No drinks included. (some sales do some don’t, Just adding this note)
I asked then to see their med fries box for $ 3.50 and they showed me a tiny paper bag fries holder (what a joke that was)… Um No Thank you– Good bye.
I might have went for this deal until I heard the part about the ONLY legs & thighs, and the fact is they are so pushy… Reminded me of a High Priced Salesmen.
They should be charged with Hwy. robbery.
Went to KFC, up the street: Treated me right, asked for the same amount of chicken (all mixed), 2 med salads, med gravy, large box of fries, and all for the price of $ 39.00 tax not included.
Tasted great and no pushiness.
