My husband and I love coming to A1. At first we were unsure of whether or not we’d like it… the place is pretty weird looking and outdated. However– we were not disappointed. The food is good but the service is the best. The guys are so friendly and accommodating! We love to sit on the couches and read the paper while they make our food. They are friendly and make great sandwiches and wraps. The doughnuts are good, too. We will keep coming here forever!

My coworker buys a dozen donuts from A1 Coffee & Donuts for my department at work for almost every week on Fridays because someone complained about Tim Horton’s donuts as being gross! Donuts from A1 Coffee & Donuts are the worst tasting donuts ever! White Wonder Bread taste better than any of the donuts from A1 Coffee & Donuts. For example, their «chocolate» donuts taste EXACTLY the same as their so-​called «vanilla» donuts. They taste like plain white flour! The ingredients used to create the donuts are very low quality because all of the donuts (apple, berry, cinnamon, chocolate) taste the exactly the same. People at A1 Coffee & Donuts need to try Duffin’s Donuts for some inspiration in donut making.

A1 is in an OLD part of Surrey, and looks like another place you would just drive/​walk by. A friend of mine took me there for coffee one morning, and I was surprised by the experience. Old timers and Guildford Park students frequent it. The place is old and needs major style update, but the service is wonderful. Friendly people behind the counter, a definite plus. The food is very fresh and delicious. The price is beyond good! Sometimes, it is refreshing to try places not based on the first impression, you may be pleasantly surprised!
