Well, I came back and checked it out in December, but the store does not really resemble the pictures I saw on Unilocal last summer anymore. I don’t often take interior shots, but maybe I should have in this shop. They had a small selection skis on display, mostly older ex-rentals. It looked like some of them were from Spicy Sports. However, they were really expensive compared to buying the used rentals at the shops in Whistler. Now, I know you are dealing with an additional middle man if you buy from here, I just don’t think there are too many people who would pay that much for older skis. Why would anyone do that, when you could buy them cheaper somewhere else, or else get a newer«used» model for the same money? They also had some jackets, mostly in the sample sizes. I really think this place is more of a climbing store, with some casual clothes and a lot of sample size merchandise for other sports, such as hiking and trail running. They really didn’t have that much snow sports equipment out. I saw a cute casual jacket in this shop, but nothing I needed right now. Since I don’t climb, I won’t need to buy anything for that sport. I think if you were a climber or someone who wears the sample size, they would have a good selection. I left my rating at four-stars because I would stop in and look around in the again(you never know), and because this store IS probably great for climbers.

Great Services | Great Products $$ Climbers will be thankful to have this store in downtown Squamish. They have anything you need to rock climb and enjoy the outdoors. Great selection of climbing gear and books/guides, and their selection of climbing shoes is awesome! I’ve never heard of some of the climbing apparel brands before, like, E9, so that was neat to see that they carry a bunch of items. They have a couple racks for sale items, too. Like most outdoor shops, prices are pretty expensive. But, I think the two dollar sign is accurate. In the back is a little section dedicated to used gear. I didn’t find anything that really caught my eye though. They offer crashpad rentals! $ 20 for the Metolius and $ 25 for the Organic pads(per day). Pretty fast and easy process to rent: pick a pad, they hold onto your credit card info until you give back their pads(you can pay cash, too), and then upon returning your pad they’ll cut up your card info. Chill store. Good resource.

I stopped in to climb on and the owner was insanely helpful. She also carries one of the most comprehensive list of gear and clothing stock. I got a place for dinner, the best camp ground and several mountain biking and climbing routes. My trip will be the richer for my visit here and I highly recommend it. John
