christopher poon. one of the two best stylist i have ever seen. usually i do not mind if a stylist is a little bit off on my cut, i almost expect it. yet, Christopher works like a perfectionist. He is very picky and detail oriented. For example my hair was slightly longer on one side and a little heavier. He went through each section and evened it out. It was like watching a robot build a car. He is very precise and works like a technician. I was impressed by how even and symmetric my cut turned out. I have long hair with various layers. I can honestly say he is the most detail oriented, and precise stylist I have ever had. Finally found the stylist I needed. I honestly think his experience from abroad gives him the advantage over local stylists.

Excepted a lot more from this place! It was my first time here and I haven’t had a hair cut in awhile. I told the hairdresser that I want to cut about 4 inches off(just to clean up the ends). She started giving me attitude saying how dry my hair is and how damage the ends are. She stated that I NEED to come and get my hair cut more often. But the tone she gave me was almost a command and was not being friendly about it at all. She did a great job nonetheless but the service was not a pleasant experience.

I came here yesterday for a hair cut and Lynn was my stylist. She’s absolutely AMAZING! Most salons that I went to always do razor cuts to «layer» my thick asian hair. And my hair always end up looking drier than before. But that never happened when Lynn was working her magic and actually made my hair look a lot more healthier. The person who washed and massaged my scalp was great too. I really enjoyed the whole experience. I know this place is somewhat expensive. But you get what you pay for. You are paying for the experience and the experts to cut your hair. You know by the end of day that you won’t leave this place unhappy.

Well I came back here. I must be crazy, right? But I had a completely different experience than the first time, I am absolutely THRILLED with my hair. Sohrab gave me a very good hair cut, the whole while chatting my ear off with his hilarious stories about his grandmothers. Esther did an amazing colour — I knew it was going to be good as the other stylists would stop to watch her do her magic. She is an ombré artiste! I am so glad that I returned, and I will be returning again and again. Definitely lived up to the Suki’s reputation.

Wow, great service and end product(my wonderful stylish hair!). I had Ken as my stylist. We hit it off right off the bet, I communicated my concerns and how to maintain my hair length for my upcoming wedding. He made me feel at ease, I trusted his judgement and my hair came out awesome! The salon itself is pretty clean, and everyone was extremely nice.

Snotty staff, disorganized reception desk, and very overpriced for what you get.

I easily get bored with my haircut so Luisa, my stylist, always does something different with it every appointment and it looks great every time! They take into consideration the texture of your hair so you end up with a haircut that’s looking good and easy to maintain. Service price starts at $ 50 but they have promotions from time to time. I usually pay $ 60, but last year I remember getting multiple discounts on haircut and colour(separate appointment). Just today, I only paid $ 35 for my cut since I pre-booked a few months ago. I would highly recommend Suki’s in Richmond, I’ve been going here for almost 2 years now.

3.5 stars for me. There are some things you generally can’t get done in Richmond, and one of these things includes having a good hair. Suki’s is one of the few hair places in Richmond that I’ll let touch my hair and I’ve come here a few times when I’m too lazy to see my stylist in Vancouver and/or I’m feeling a bit broke since the prices are a bit more affordable(cuts start at $ 50 here). Nice layout, convenient parking(free at the back) and good quality brands. Their product line focuses on Kerastase, with a recent addition of Shu Uemura, which I’m booked to try out at my next visit. I’ve used a couple of stylists here and they’ve both been decent but not super chatty. Prices are reasonable here and you’ll come out with an OK cut after an hour — my bob edges aren’t as clean as I’d like them to be, so maybe that’s where my extra $ 22 goes at the Rain salon :) They’re not pushy on the product sales here. I’m used to the Bumble and Bumble style salons where they give you a list and go through the products they’ve used with you. They don’t do that with their lines, so it can be a plus or minus depending on what you like.
