Riverport Sports & Entertainment Complex

Conveniently located at what seems like the edge of the earth, the riverport entertainment complex presents the finest of sub-​suburban entertainment options. Don’t bother arriving in any vehicle but your car, as it will take more time than you will spend at the movie just to bike, bus (or god forbid, walk) here. Pick any one of 2,000 parking spots an lock up your car tight! And do not lock your keys inside, it would probably take a locksmith 2 hours to get there to open your car. Before you head in for your wild night of entertainment, take a moment to breathe in the gorgeous nearby scenery: empty field, empty field, and enormous impound lot. Pop into the pub, the spaghetti factory for a quick bite before your indoor entertainment option of choice… movie, ice rink, kids’ play land, bowling, or swimming. Granted, the movie theatre is good (the only IMAX theatre other than Langley, which is even further, and Scienceworld, which does not play blockbusters), and I do like the spaghetti factory.
I guess my point is to remind everyone that the three tenets of real estate — location, location, location — do not play in the favour of this complex. Every time i come here I end up being sad that all those silly parking spots could be growing food or being home to some cows. They can cram all the stuff they want into their lot — the drive still is no good for this city girl.

Since we play hockey here regularly, it’s probably even better for families so kids can also use the water facilities, bowling, mini-​arcade & of course skating.
For tourists, the relatively new Holiday Inn right on No.5 Road is convenient.
Wonder what’s going to replace Gold’s Gym.
Wish there were a few more restos to choose from, other than the pub Stanley’s above the rink or Spaghetti factory & the Raven’s Pub – probably being picky lol.
Because of the movie specials on Tuesdays, family day, plus the usual craziness on Fri/​Sat nites, expect parking congestion. Sometimes I can avoid the traffic by turning in the side street before the main entrance where the hotel is.
Or the cul de sac by water mania.
amazingly, there’s regular bus service here.

A great place to take the kids or even a romantic night out!
There’s so much to do here at Riverport. Home to the 19 theater SilverCity complex, u can see just about anything new! or even old. and i think on Thursday is take your kids to the movies day as well. nice touch! the only down side is Food prices are pretty high so i would suggest going out to eat before you come.
You also got your Big RIver Brew pub just across the way for your drunkin needs, as well as old spaghetti factory and even The Zone Bowling ally!!, Feelin Finny? then get wet at Watermainia Wave pool! or Go Bananas with … um. «Go Bananas?».
Like i said there’s so much to see and do here, you won’t get bored! it will also probably shut your kids up as well. just sayin ;)
