Just recently down-sized over a few stores down in this plaza… true authentic Indian resto, with quite the wallop in spice level, as I did ask for the best; considering the amount of curry I love, one would think my half chinese, half indian. the butter chicken was more than tasty and well worth the value, as it used to be a buffet place. It’s only a star down since I prefer the older place better in terms of comfort and atmosphere, now it’s more of a fast-food joint but if you’re in the area, near Cambie Rd, it’s worth it to drop by. Especially if you need to go to Shoppers Drug Mart.

Ordered a large size with Everything On It pizza and curry goat. I was disappointed when I took a slice, the toppings all slid down the crust, leaving a wet dough on my hand. The dough was soggy. I don’t think they had put enough cheese to bind the toppings to its crust and the tomato sauce was not cooked enough though the crust was a little bit on the dark side but not crispy. As for the curry goat, it was too greasy, you can see the oil floating around.

Red Mirchi closed. The last time I was there, I felt that they weren’t doing what was needed to keep customers returning. The staff didn’t seem to really care What started out as good potential unfortunately didn’t.

Mmmm I love this place! It’s super affordable and the food is awesome! I’ve never had the pizza or the buffet but as a celiac I’m super happy to say I’ve never had a problem! Even the pakoras are gluten free(they use chana flour instead of regular flour or breadcrumbs) and the service is awesome. The food tastes really authentic too!

Ordered delivery a couple of weeks ago and was not disappointed. I was very pleasantly surprised that they agreed to deliver to my area. The guy who brought the food was kind of rude and abrupt, and took his sweet time bringing us the food, but the quality of the meal more than made up for it. We ordered what we usually get when we have Indian food; butter chicken for the boyfriend and palak paneer for me. Veggie pakoras, garlic naan and rice. The food was still piping hot, even after the long journey to our door, super fresh and not to mention, taaasty! I think this will be our new go-to place for Indian take out/delivery.

A nicer Indian restaurant with large projection screens to watch games. Opted for the lunch buffet for $ 9.99. A mini salad bar, butter chicken, mutter paneer, Daal Makhani, mixed veggies cooked in a curry sauce, basmati rice, pappadum, and fresh naan. Decent food, a filling and quick lunch. Naan was made fresh in small batches so it never got too dry. It was busy when we went so the overturn of the food was quick.(Nothing sitting there for a long time.) Chai tea was delicious, wish it was refillable though. Good service, and a convenient location with ample parking. They also have burgers, salads, pastas, and soups. Oh, pizzas too. I’ll need to come back to try out their butter chicken pizza, and their potato pizza(cause the description sounds so good-potatoes, green onions, caramelized onions, mushrooms, creamy garlic sauce & blend of cheese and bacon.) But when faced with the option of having butter chicken, can I settle for pizza?

This is a fairly new Indian restaurant and we knew about it from the newspaper flyer and coupon. They serve the usual authentic Indian dishes and… pizzas, sandwiches, burger and wings? Quite an interesting combo, but I guess that goes nicely with their 2 gigantic projector screens and 240″ LCD TVs, great for any game night. The owner must like sports since the place is decorated with many athlete photos. The entrees don’t come with any sides, no naan bread or rice, they had to be ordered separately. The entrees itself isn’t big, they were served in a small bowl, but there were actually quite a bit in there. We had to order a side of rice and naan, but it was free with the coupon, so not too bad. The the price they charge each entrée, I think rice and naan should be included… So we went a second time for their $ 9.95 buffet, served daily from 11 – 4. A much better deal with salad bar, many types of dressings /chutneys /sauces, a couple vegetable dishes, a couple curry dishes, a meat dish and bottomless rice. Everything was fresh and the server would tell the kitchen to make fresh naan bread each time new customers came in. I love Indian food and this was place was very authentic. Will definitely go again and again :)
