I come here quite often for phở. Their portions are generous and their price is affordable. The service is usually decently fast. The restaurant is small but does not feel overly crowded. All in all, nothing to rave about, but a solid choice if you are craving phở or other sorts of Vietnamese food.

Not a bad place to choose if you have a phở craving. The soup base is quite salty. I usually get the rare beef and tripe, and the portions of the tripe is a hit or a miss. It’s slightly more expensive than the other phở places I’ve been to.

It’s pretty hard to find decent phở in Richmond so we were happy to find this place. The phở broth has good flavors and the portion size is alright. They do charge Downtown prices though — $ 10 for phở! But if I have a phở craving and don’t want to pay for gas to drive out of Richmond, I’m glad we have Phở An Nam. I also tried their Lemongrass Pork Chop and Chicken on Rice. Stay away from the Pork Chop, tastes like re-heated frozen Pork Chop and neither hubby or I wanted to finish it. The Chicken was good though. Free parking in the back. When you see IHOP, you’re almost there.

NOTBAD. I’ve had the phở, noodle combo, the spring rolls, salad tolls and the che ba mau here. Phở isn’t too bad, a tad bit salty. The noodle combo was pretty decent. HONESTLY… everything was just mediocre. If you’re looking for a quick fix then this place is for you. The restaurant is right near a bus stop and near Richmond Centre. Plenty of parking in the back as well. Don’t get the che here. Not that good. I had yet to find a phở restaurant that I MUST go to. Service here is shit but that was expected. Would I come back? maybeeeeee

When in doubt, always come early because if you do not, then the MSG strikes again. I came here early for some phở because I was super hungry. Needless to say that, I went to get the large phở dac biet. There was a good amount of meat, the flavour for the phở was great, but I felt it was missing the final flavour, but I could not figure out what it was. Thankfully, the meal was tasty. Would I recommend this place? Maybe. if you are thinking about just getting a quick fix. Do be careful of the MSG when it strikes late at night…

I love coming here! My boyfriend and I come here quite regularly and I usually get the small beef ball and he gets the large house special and we share spring rolls! The phở here is definitely affordable and good. I really love their broth!

The phở is delicious, the service is friendly-ish(over time, since I’m a regular now they have become much friendlier), the prices are very reasonable, the restaurant is cleaner than most other phở places and their menu has a lot of variety. All in all, this is a Phở restaurant, not a fine dining joint. You get what you pay for and I love their phở!

Came here based on friend’s recommendation… and supposedly one of the better phở places in Richmond. Unfortunately this place falls short on many things. First off, service is not friendly and nor is it attentive. No refills of water and forgetting items that come with the combos. Also forgetting some meat with my phở. The beef broth which is the base of the phở was super duper salty(doused with a lot of msg) Probably the saltiest I’ve ever had. The beef came in small and chewy bites. The chicken phở was better, however limited meat was given. The spring rolls, meh definitely had better. Overall I would not come back again because of the service and the phở. Pricey, $ 9 for a small bowl, this isn’t exactly downtown Vancouver.

This is pretty much my go-to phở in Richmond. Pricing is cheap, food is pretty good. I’m still searching for the best phở ever(probably will have to go to Vietnam for that) but this will very much do. I always get the combo with the rainbow beans and springroll + normal phở. Worth the value! And they don’t give you a dinky cup of rainbow beans like Phở Hong in Burnaby. Tons of TV’s to stare at. The one thing I hate the most about phở in general is bland broth, and An Nam does not have it. The soup is super flavourful and the wait is usually pretty fast. If you need something to rely on, you should come here. Plus plentiful of parking. There seems to be a hobo gathering further down the parking lot but they seem to be pretty harmlessly chilling nearby and it’s Central Richmond after all.

Food is good here but bit pricier than your average phở lunch($ 9 for a small beef noodle!!) but it didn’t taste too oily or salty either. Their special combos are a better deal because of that delicious rainbow beans drink! Overall, a clean vietnamese food place with a good dry egg noodle, rice combos and delicious beef phở!

My favourite Phở place in the lower mainland. It’s clean, the servers aren’t rude(maybe even borderline friendly? Shocker!), and there’s lots of parking. Ok, so that may be setting the bar low. The food is pretty good too. Granted it’s not going to blow you away(hence 4 stars instead of 5), but it’s a good, quality bowl of soup for a reasonable price. The basil and bean sprouts they serve look very fresh. I may go elsewhere if I have a late night Phở craving(they close at 10) but this place is my number 1 choice.

There is an abundance of free parking at the back, which is always a plus! The outside looked quite dingy, but we were surprised how clean and nice the interior was for a phở shop. Hardwood flooring was also an interesting touch for a restaurant. All three of us ended up getting the same noodle soup, which was the An Nam Special Mixed Beef with Rice Noodle Soup(or Phở Dac Biet). We all got a bowl of small, and it’s a tad pricey at $ 8 compared to other phở spots. The bowl of noodles was also noticeably small. However, the broth was delicious and we all agreed it is one of the top in Richmond. It’s interesting to note that they put a lot of pepper on the top, but I didn’t mind it. Loved the broth and you get a good amount of beef, beef balls, tripe, tendons, etc. Pros: — Phở broth is delicious and didn’t taste like MSG — Surprisingly decent and clean ambiance Cons: — More expensive than most phở joints — Don’t expect much service as usual

Phở is one of my favourite food. This one overall is below the average. Service is ok. Fast food style. Renovation is good, small but warm. Ordered combo 2. Taste of food is little bit below average. Will not come back.

My regular Phở place in Richmond ever since Phở Thai Hao closed their Richmond location. Felt like Phở An Nam is getting busier and busier. Today during prime time dinner hour on a Friday they still managed to reserve a table for 18 people yet kept the wait time for walk-ins to the minimal. And they only had 2 servers! Impressive. Phở, vermicelli, rice, spring rolls, wings are all my favorite. Good portion and broth. We usually go for their combo to get drinks and spring roll as well.

The best phở in Richmond! Phở An Nam was first introduced to me around 3 – 4 years ago at the Granville location. The service is always excellent, even during busy times, the food is always warm and tasty and the cleanliness(which is a big issue for me) tops the list for a phở restaurant. The servers remember numerous orders off the top of their heads, as well as any special requests(impressive!). Phở An Nam used to offer 10% off the entire bill if paid before 6pm PST; however, this was taken away after some time. Despite not having the 10% off, the prices are decent. To top it all off, this place accepts VISA and MASTERCARD! No need to carry loads of cash around. I’ve recommended this place to my friends and family and they are able to accommodate large parties by putting together a row of tables. Expect quick and good service when you go. It’s great for short lunch breaks or when you’re in a rush.

I used to come here a lot a few years back but have noticed from this visit that the phở broth has gone downhill. There’s barely any flavor in the soup and any real taste I experienced was pretty much all from the lime. The meat was still good(meatballs and steak) but the soup was quite a letdown given how much more flavorful it used to be. Please bring your old broth back!

This is actually my favourite Vietnamese restaurant so far. I’m tempted to give them 5 stars, but it’s «not» a five star dining experience. I love their beef ball soup noodles. So delicious. And I find the price and portions are pretty darn good too. For $ 1 extra you can get yourself a large bowl of noodle. I absolutely love their Vietnamese ice coffee… Soooo good. However, I’m not a fan of their rainbow ice, but I think that’s more of a personal preference thing. Anyways…their fried spring roll and lemon chicken grass rice needs some work. It’s average at best. Note: combo 15 used to taste better

This is one of my favourite, if not my favourite restaurant for phở. I usually get #11 large, which is the phở tai(rare beef). $ 8 for a small, $ 9 for a large. Was here earlier for lunch. Haven’t been here for about two months, because the last time I was here I ended up getting major runs and couldn’t make it into work the next day :(But I like this place so much, I still come back :) Easy 5 stars for the following reasons: –Great convenient location for me –Free parking in the back –Accepts credit cards, including paypass –Delicious meat and broth in their phở –Provides limes, rather than lemons, for their phở –Fast phở service –Their rice dishes are excellent too –Not expensive, great value for money –Appears cleaner than most phở restaurants –Serves alcohol

I have grown tired of phở over the years, but upon a friend’s request, decided to try this place out. My friend stated that apart from her favourite phở place having been long gone in an accident, this was her second best restaurant for phở. I was mildly iffy once inside as it was cramped, dimly lit, and almost uncomfortable to an extent. Our dishes came and to my surprise, my portions were noticeably smaller than that of my friend’s(we ordered the same dish). Regardless, it was nothing spectacular as was expected.

A nice little place. The servers were unusually friendly, the noodles in my bun(vermicelli) were unusually hot, and the room was unusually clean. The prices are a little bit better than elsewhere. Because of how Richmond is laid out, this place requires inconvenient parking(such as at the nearby International House of Pancakes, but shhhhh… you didn’t hear that from me!). But it is worth the trip.

I actually really like the phở here and this is probably one of my favorite vietnamese restaurants in Richmond. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of a particular waitress. I do not remember her name but she is a very unpleasant Asian lady in her 40s or 50s. I ordered some phở with my friends and one of my friends requested her bowl of phở to be without any greens as she does not like the taste of cilantro and spring onion. The waitress walked off without saying a word, which left us wondering whether or not she had taken our order. So after about 10 – 15 minutes without our food arriving, we got worried and asked her when our food would be ready. She walked away(we took it that she was going to the kitchen to check maybe) and slammed the menus she was holding onto a nearby table. We did not know what we did to deserve this kind of service. After our food arrived, my friend ordered a longan ice drink because I had recommended it to her, and the waitress once again gave us very dirty looks without saying a word to us. I will come here again for the food, but I will definitely make a complaint if I get that kind of service again.
