Jackson and team inspected the car and said there is no problem with the brakes as of now and everything is fine and advised me to check it again after sometime.
All this he did for free! He also checked my air pressure upon my request :)
Found my Go to Garage!

Had to replace my brakes on my car since my brakes were at that stage where it’s affecting the performance of my car. I had researched plenty of garages and this place came up and got really good reviews from other users. I decided to come here to just get a quote. At first, Winston, a worker there, helped me out. He took the time to test drive the car with me and see what were the issues. Afterwards, he had brought the car in to check the brakes condition and notified me what needed fixed and etc. Winston was very friendly and also great in inspecting the car and quoting how much it would approximately cost to replace and tune up the brakes.
I came back after a few weeks, to finally get my brakes fixed and Jackson was there to help inspect the car again and give me a quote on what needed to be fixed/​replaced. Jackson was very friendly, great customer service and funny guy too. You can definitely see he really enjoys what he does and happy to see that his efforts go a long way with customers satisfaction. He’s truthful and honest, and doesn’t try to trick you. The service was very fast. I was able to get replace my old brakes with new ones in 2 hours and get my car back.
Definitely will go back again, Jackson and his team are very reliable and they do a good job.

Brought the car in for an oil change on my next visit, except that Jackson was not in that day. Even so, the technician (who I forgot to grab the name of!) took great care of the car and was very accommodating in the process.

The owner is a very nice guy, it feels like he tries to get you to fix what’s necessary without ripping you off. I brought my car in because I had an inspection at another shop who told me my brakes and drums needed to be replaced. Minit Tune told me the brakes were fine and the drums only needed to be cleaned and machined. My car is running so smooth! Will definitely come back!

I created an account on Unilocal just to leave Minit Tune a review because people need to know how amazing these guys are. I brought my 2010 Hyundai Genesis over to Minit Tune as the car seemed to have some sort of problems with the computer not connecting to my transmission. There, I met the manager, Jackson, who was extremely friendly and advised that he would look into for me. Jackson calls me back after about 2 hours and says that they had restarded the computer and checked my transmission oil, however he wanted to leave the car overnight and test drive it in the morning. Unfortunately, that did not fix the many issues that my car was currently facing. They stopped working on my car at that point and called me and told me the bad news. They advised that they would have to take the transmission apart to figure out the problem and that would run me a few thousand dollars. So when I came to pick up the car and pay for the labour, Jackson would not allow me to pay as he said «I have a long road ahead me in fixing this car.» I’ve never experienced such customer service before. Most mechanics would eagerly charge me an arm and a leg for having the car overnight at the shop, but Jackson did not. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this mechanic!

All very accurate positive descriptions. Jackson is fun and eager to please. Prices are very reasonable and they won’t fix anything unnecessarily. This location has fixed things that others have missed and told me to wait so I can get full use out of brakes etc by not fixing them if not necessary. In other words Jackson has saved me a lot of money.

It was my first time visiting Minit-​Tune and I dropped my car off for service/​inspection. I dealt with the Service Manager Jackson Ma and he was very enthusiastic and helpful with my questions. Very easy to approach and talk to.
Still waiting for my service to be completed, if all goes well I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Got my out-​of-​province inspection done last week, for about a quarter of what the dealer was going to charge for it. While I did have to replace my windshield, which had a 12″+ crack below sightline, that was all. The dealer came up with all kinds of items that he thought might need replacing on a four-​year-​old vehicle. This was before he even took a proper look at it, so it’s not saying much for his confidence in the vehicles he represents, if he believes that there might be all kinds of issues after just 4 years.
In any case, service at Minit-​Tune was fast and friendly, and I’ll definitely be taking my car back for service in the future.

Jackson is honest, keeps it real and always has options for you. We got our provincial inspection done from Minit-​Tune. I read stories online about getting DRL fixed, Metrics converted and the huge costs involved, but the folks here simply did what was must to get the tests passed and without any fancy costs.
Jackson was patient on the call trying to explain the process, Appointment was given for the very next day and costs were very reasonable. Highly recommended.

When my Golf — my first car ever — told me it was time for an oil change while we were on holiday in Canada, I panicked. I mean, I knew it was gonna happen, but I had assumed it would happen while close to the dealership back home and I would let them take care of it. However, the car told me it wanted its oil changed NOW, and I was not going to risk driving down to San Francisco before getting it changed.
First, I called a local VW dealership who quoted me «at least $ 145»… People’s car my ass. Being a broke student, I decided to look elsewhere, and this place was the highest rated place on Unilocal,so I decided to give them a call. I was not disappointed. They were able to fit me in the next day, and the guy there was so friendly. There is a reason why this place has so many five star reviews, it’s so legit! It’s obvious that the people there love what they do, which is important, and they’re so friendly. While I don’t live in Vancouver, I will not hesitate to recommend people to come here and it’s good to know that I have an awesome place to come if I need an oil change next time I’m in the area.

Just like one of the reviewers commented, owner Jackson Ma is the most honest quality mechanic you’ll find. Very fair pricing too. His team of mechanics are very thorough and he lists the checks done in the receipt. If there’s additional minor checks needed done chances are he’ll throw it in for free!

Amazing. Jackson and Co live up to the hype. The place was super-​busy when I showed up but he was funny, informative and put me at ease. I travel for work, so the ability to leave my jeep here for maintenance is awesome. Their prices were great and all my issues were resolved. Minute-​tune is my new mechanic!

I’ve been going to Jackson since 2009. Every time you’re greeted with a smile and Jackson makes sure you’re taken care of.
He’s the most honest mechanic I’ve ever worked with and the work itself is impeccable.
At the time I was on a budget and didn’t want to spend too much fixing my car, so he did everything he could to minimize costs for me without jeopardizing safety. One time he even noticed my rotors were somewhat warped so he machined them for free!
I just can’t say how great Jackson and his team are.

This guy is quick, friendly, and efficient. My simple oil change cost less than $ 40 and the car was ready to be picked up within a few hours!
It might be a bit hard to find this place since it’s a bit hidden away, but it’s definitely worth it! It’s also great that they’re so close to the skytrain station since you can simply just go somewhere along the Canada line while they fix up your car. You can also walk to Aberdeen Centre, which is a mere 5 minutes away.

Jackson is the Guru of cars! Got my car oil changed and asked his advice regarding passing aircare, he was straight to the point and made a few suggestions on how to pass it including buying an engine cleaner from Canadian Tire. It didn’t cost me extra money and the oil change itself with all the inspections was definitely within my budget, considering I brought in a classic luxury vehicle. I thought the costs would’ve of been higher and out of my budget. Great job, overall service was great and Jackson is so wonderful and friendly. Will be back again for sure!

Got a last minute oil change for my 2011 veracruz. It was done within I hour and at a good price of $ 53. Before some people take me to task that their advertised price is $ 37, I like to make a comparison. Hyundai dealership in the Automall charged $ 90 and Mister Lube on Marpole charged $ 80. And minit tune did no up selling.
Now to the impressing part. I just mentioned the symptoms to my other car, a 2009 Suzuki and he diagnosed it immediate site unseen. I was skeptical so, I looked it up after I got home. Jackson, the owner was on the money. Very impressed so far.

I had to fix my squeaking brakes so I searched on Unilocal for some suggestions. Then I found Minit-​Tune Richmond! The best decision I’ve made.
Jackson and his team was amazing! Initially when I called for an appointment, I asked for a check-​up for the brakes, and then fix the brakes if necessary. When I dropped off the car, there was a miscommunication. He thought I only wanted a check-​up. However, that was clarified quickly and he even got his team to stay through lunch to finish the fix on my Matrix. WOW!
On top of all that, he added a free oil change and replaced a missing nut on my tire also free of charge.
I’ve never seen such customer appreciation from any auto centres before. Great job to Jackson and dedicated team! I’m sure I’ll be coming back to Jackson for all my car maintenance from now on.

So Im from Seattle and was visiting my girlfriend who lives in Van and we found a car on Craigslist we were interested in. I had no appointment so I took the used car in at 8:30 AM. Jackson, the manager said he wouldnt be able to take a look at it unitl 9 since all of his mechanics were not in yet. Grabbed breakfast and came back at 9:45, and the car was finished and inspected.
Jackson told me everything that was wrong with the used car and advised that I not buy it based on all the upcoming repairs needed on that car. He clearly stated everything that was wrong with the car and how much each repair would cost as well! Great shop and if I lived in BC, I would definitely take my car there
