Best waffle I have every tried hands down. Authentic Belgian waffle, warm, fresh, and thick of goodness. Love the original(vanilla) and the matcha flavour. Oh yeah, they supply the waffle batter to Café Medina– pretty much the top restaurant in Vancouver.

These are by far the best waffles I have ever had. Nice small place that I would have never seen until my dad told me. I bought a box of 6 and ate the maple one right away, I think I needed a box of 10 instead. I would go back there any day!

I haven’t fully decided how I feel about this place yet. The Waffles are good, I bought the matcha, milk chocolate, caramel and apple. They were out of the white chocolate(which I really wanted to try) and the maple. The prices are average and service is fine/good. It’s a family run business and the owner had his two kids there which was fine, but the older one stares a lot which is something that should really be discouraged. At this point I think if I do come here again I’ll get some waffles to go.

I had my first Belgium waffle here and I fell in love with the Yuzu flavour one. I didn’t have to bite into it and I already taste the light citrus tang of the fruit. I didn’t taste a lot of the matcha in the matcha waffle but it may be because I ate the yuzu one first. On the weekends, they have special bakes like tarts, rye bread sandwiches etc. ** if you go, you have to try the Yuzu, it will not disappoint !

Fabulous waffles! We are addicted. This place is run by a super-sweet family. You can often see there kids hanging out in the back and the owner is actually Belgium! Highly recommend!!!

Mmmm waffles! These are nice thicker Belgian style waffles that you order to go and heat up at home. They have their traditional sugar and vanilla versions, but they also offer some unique flavors like matcha(green tea) and my personal favorite, yuzu(light japanese lemon flavor). There’s the fancier versions dipped in chocolate but I have not yet tried those. I like the banana chocolate flavor as well which has little pieces of chocolate filling the holes with a banana waffle base. All of their waffles are fresh and are perfect on their own warmed up in the toaster — no need to dunk them in syrup… these are perfect on their own! Average price about $ 3/waffle(depending on if it’s dipped or not).

Damien’s does Belgium waffles right. Just visiting Vancouver for the week and my cousin brought me here. The place has a classic bakery feel with a large back room with all sorts of baking equipment and a small storefront for customers to enjoy breakfast. I got the matcha tea flavored waffle with whip, strawberries and blueberries. It was really well balanced and hit the spot. French press coffee was good too. Def a great spot if you’re looking for Belgium waffles or a great breakfast.

This place is amazing! Their waffles are the best! The owners are very sweet and kind. Every time we’re in BC we always make a pit stop at Damien’s Waffle Factory,

Damien’s has been making waffles in Steveston for years, and I recently found out that they sell their waffle batter to several companies across the lower mainland! The most noteworthy one would be Café Medina(the famous Brunch place with 60 – 90 minute line-ups) Anyways, I love walking over here on a sunny day to grab one of their fresh waffles to-go and sometimes I even buy a bag to bring home to share with my family. My favourite flavour is yuzu, which is a sweet Japanese citrus that tastes like a sour mandarin/lemon/grapefruit. The owner of the store is Belgian and his wife is Japanese, so they have many unique flavours to choose from. Matcha is also a very popular Japanese flavour at Damien’s, but the flavour isn’t too prominent so I tend to order Yuzu most of the time even though I love matcha-flavoured baked goods. My second favourite would be the dark chocolate covered waffle, which is seriously amazing. If you want to eat your waffle right away, you may ask for your waffle to be heated up and they will toast it up for you right away! The façade of the shop is quite worn and it’s quite easy to miss since it’s not in the center of Steveston. You really have to keep your eye out when driving/walking around because many of my friends tend to miss it when they come to visit!

Oooh, waffles. The perfect food made better by the Belgians who added little pearl sugar beads. Those surprising little bursts of sweet that would only be better if there was some bacon. Of course, if you head in at lunch time, they have savoury waffles(the day I went, it was waffles with prosciutto and brie); I imagine that to be like heaven. For those with a sweet tooth, definitely try the topped waffles. For those with less of a sweet tooth, you can’t go wrong with the original. Next time I’m going to try the cinnamon ones and hopefully I’ll be right on time for a savoury waffle. I can’t wait!

One of the nicest tucked away unassuming shops just outside the Steveston village. Waffles seem to be the new cupcakes these days. These are authentic Belgian waffles complete with sugar pearls inside(you can buy the pearls separately as well). Prices are decent for what they are, lots of flavors to chose from and awesome/warm customer service.

Hidden gem! I absolutely love this place and wish that more people knew about it! It’s a must try if you have a sweet tooth like me and find yourself in Steveston one day. The owners are extremely friendly, and the food is great! It’s $ 2.50 for a regular waffle and $ 3 for a deluxe one(with milk chocolate etc.) and they’re well worth it! They also give you the option of having your waffle heated up, and boy is it good! Love love love! Wish that more people knew about this place because it definitely deserves recognition! :)

I have been coming here for years. the waffle is the same awesome quality year after year and the owners are just a joy to be with. They have started baking breads and those are simply irresistible just like their waffles. do yourself a favor and check this place out no matter where you live! a must visit when in Stevenson.

What a perfect light dessert or mid-day snack! The consistency of the batter is well-balanced — not too heavy but enough to give you some chewy goodness. There are a variety of flavors: from chocolate covered to Matcha green tea to apple to maple. My fave is the cinnamon one ~ a light tasting waffle perfect with a mocha or hot chocolate! Buy a box of 6 for $ 12(with 2 chocolate covered waffles max) A nice, quaint place to catch up with friends. Plus it’s a cute bonus with the owners’ kids just peeking over the counter as you pick your waffles =)

Mmmm… waffles! Located in the heart of Steveston Village, this is in a small strip mall, with a very plain storefront. Many would drive/walk by without even noticing it. But follow the sweet smell, and it will lead you to this hidden gem. Inside, the owner’s children roam around, but your attention will quickly turn to the perfect round fresh Liege style waffles. They are smaller, sweeter and denser than«Belgian waffles». They make their waffles in house, without eggs and preservatives. They’re made with real butter, honey and a special sugar from Belgium called pearl sugar. Vanilla(original), Cinnamon, Maple, Matcha(Grean tea). Dark, Milk or White Chocolate. The plain ones are $ 2.25, and the ones dipped in chocolate are $ 2.50. There’s a couple of small tables and seats for customers that want to eat in. Since they were closing, I decided to buy some to take home. The owner recommended that I reheat it my toaster, to get the outside a little crisp, and the inside warm and soft. I bought a matcha and a vanilla one. At home, I made some tea, heated the waffle up, and savoured a delicious afternoon snack!

Anything in Steveston is a hidden gem if not on the main strip :(or ;) lol. Nice little mom and pop w/bright orange painted walls, and an open kitchen/bakery so you know it’s fresh. Nice Frenchmen and japanese wife possibly, friendly. Explained a bit of each waffle in display case. all kinds, so chose the caramel, but not to get too excited w/caramel oozing out, but rather, added to the dough. this was yummy. Other white chocolate, a meh, melted over on top. there’s also crème brûlée too which I try next time. nice and clean place. Also have breakfast waffles too.
