Shellac removal disaster! Yesterday it was my first and last visit to Connection 2000. I asked to remove shellac and cover nails with transparent polish. Manicurist filed the cover coat so painful because she filed skin around nails too. I asked her to be careful, but after that she scraped polish so deep that totally damaged my nails. Now I am forced to cut and recover my nails for a long time. I would recommend to avoid nail services in this salon.

Great service and very friendly staff. I went to remove shellac nail polish and they were quick and efficient. They put envy polish and clear top coat afterwards to give it a clean and polish look.

We haven’t been here before. We did happen to call last minute but they still took two of us in for a pedicure. They were great, they stayed over an hour after closing to finish both my mom’s and my pedicure.

Great! Great service. Great haircut. All around very good. Mike cut my hair and respected my desires and comfort level and also had his style and expertise to add and really make a very good cut. Definitely recommended.

Kim’s pretty awesome, did everything I asked for :) They’re super friendly and very professional. Jenny and Kim both have great hair, so you know they’re good when…

I usually get my hair done at Revolutions in Metrotown($ 30 + tip for shampoo and cut only) but I’m a Richmond local and decided to give this salon a try after reading PG’s glowing review. I had my hair cut by Kim and she did a decent job, although there wasn’t much of a consultation in the beginning, she didn’t even tell me her name or talked during the whole cut, which is fine cuz Im not chatty either. Kim is a frigging hair ninja, she’s is sooo fast at cutting it, which made me pretty nervous cuz it felt like she was rushing to finish and was pretty rough with my hair at times(pulling and combing out the knots as if they were their enemy). She also cut it without shampooing it or even getting it wet first, which made me more anxious! The cut turned out nice except that I told her I wanted to keep it long and it is much shorter than I wanted it and didn’t really get the volume or shape I asked for. I would come here again if I’m tight for cash since it’s much cheaper than Revolutions but next time I will try Jenny, she seemed much more friendly and other 2 people came in with appointments to see her. In conclusion: OK Salon, NOTTHEBESTCUTOFMYLIFE — I guess it’s what you get for a $ 23 cut.

WOW. My best haircut of my life is attributed to the women, errrr woman of this salon! 2 friendly women run the show here. They also do nails. When my sister came home with an amazing haircut, I had to ask where she got it, and she said this salon. So random eh! It’s in the middle of a unassuming strip-mall, in the middle of a random Richmond neighbourhood! I knew I was due to get a haircut, I probably get my hair cut once every 1 – 2 years *don’t ask* so I decided to go here. The woman listened to what I wanted(I wanted 4 separate things) and she did it to a tee. My hair is naturally wild, curly and voluminous… she kept all that but made it look less like I rolled out of bed after a long night. ;) I am so glad I found a place where I trust the people, and it’s not even expensive. I will definitely be going back when I need another haircut… and it won’t be after a couple of years, I promise. ;) If I remember correctly it was under $ 30 with tax and tip! That’s pretty impressive in a world of haircuts which are $ 200+ and which are crappy. Some Vietnamese woman came in and it was like all of them were catching up on the gossip of the day. :P I also saw a older man step in, as well as young kids… so they serve a variety of people. My sister said that they have been here forever, but I clearly didn’t know about it. *Hidden gem* Please don’t go here though, it’s my secret. ;)
