I’ve been buying from Pilot lately, so I’m very glad to have found Social — their prices are better and the quality is excellent, and the freshness is really remarkable. Clearly excellent quality beans. I even had an extremely pleasant experience at the store, and the guy there was very accommodating after Canada Post screwed up the delivery of my web order — he offered to deal with them on my behalf (but it did eventually arrive). Could not recommend more.

Mmm!!! Finally a great place to get awesome coffee that I can brew at home! I’m not a huge fan of buying subpar coffee at grocery stores or buying overpriced coffee at grocery stores. This place sells wonderful brews — both filter drip and espresso beans with a variety of different blends. They offer you daily blends such as their Wahundura (which is absolutely a phenomenal everyday coffee) to some crazy reserve blend that costs about $ 55 (Esmeralda Special) — which I have not tried.
Orders over $ 25 are free in Canada and shipped right to your door, which makes is so convenient! The woman who was helping me online was also extremely helpful. They are also able to pre-​grind it for you; but they do say that coffee loses its freshness if you don’t fresh grind it daily. But for me… ain’t nobody got time for that!

Delicious flavourful freshly roasted espresso beans. I haven’t been to the store itself, so I’ll stop by at next time I am in the area and update my review. I have ordered their espresso beans online, quickly shipped and well packaged, and free shipping in Canada if you order 2 12oz (340g) bags. I’m not an expert on all the subtle flavour differences in coffee, but I have a good burr grinder and dual boiler espresso machine and know what I like to drink, and I don’t like to be served bad coffee or to make it at home. I looked up Social because the best coffee I have tasted in these parts was at Contra Café on Yarmouth & Shaw, and they get their coffee from Social.
