Randy’s Speedy Brake and Muffler

My first experience here– so far it seems like a trustworthy place with quick service and decent rates. I will come back and update this review over time (hopefully my cars do not need enough work for that to be too often!), and hopefully will up my rating to 5 stars. I had the same mechanic for over 20 years, a very highly-​rated guy, but I now live in Port Moody so he is too far away of access easily. If Randy’s Speedy continues to prove to be capable and 100% honest, they will earn my regular business. So far, so good!
You can’t be too careful with a new mechanic; lots of scams out there. I took my car in last year to someone in Port Moody and came away feeling REALLY screwed. It was not running as well when I got it back, started making some different noises, and ‘coincidentally’, things started to go wrong after that so I took it back to my regular mechanic who I knew I could trust. Wouldn’t be too hard for an unscrupulous mechanic to set things up to start failing within a month or to of a visit… but I trusted them so little that I refused to take it back to be checked again– they weren’t getting into my engine again!
However Randy’s gave me good service, worked really fast, and I feel the diagnosis and fix was correct.

This place is absolutely amazing! Family owned company who build trust and relationships with their customers instead of just sticking a hand in their customers pocket. This is the ONLY place I’ve gone to since getting my first car that hasn’t lied to me about the services needed, they only give you the best work and the best advice! I recommend this place to everyone and anyone who needs a fix up; from oil change to buying new tires my experience has been nothing but positive! Thanks Randy!
