Haven’t been to the restaurant yet but have ordered delivery for awhile now. Due to some stomach health issues(surgery) didn’t order for a few months. Anyway, ordered tonight with my special requests(crumbled bacon on top) and I couldn’t get enough. Could’ve kept eating and eating. Had a half slice for desert. I love pizza and am extremely fussy for satisfaction(quality and quantity) and I’ve always had really good pizza from this place. Tonight, was simply fantastic! Don’t know if it’s because i haven’t had it in awhile or what? This is not soggy two for one with tomato soup sauce. Just damn satisfying in every aspect. Two slices and you’re full but wanting to eat more. Wish they had an xtra large but thats me. I’ve tried everybody’s pizza around here and it’s no contest. I’m a pizza lover. You gotta try them.

I’ve ate this food several times over the past 8 years usually pick up but dined in recently with out of town guests. When we walked in the waitress wanted to seat is at the tall bar tables but I said we would prefer a lower table. Then it became an awkward situation as she went to the back and brought a man, I assume the owner, who said this tall table was the only place to sit even though there were 3 empty tables! I mentioned that I was suffering from an injury and would not be comfortable. He advised we would have to wait but could sit at the bar … which had the same tall chairs. Idiot! We stood and waited about 10 mins for other diners to leave before they gave us a table. In fact the large table at the back sat empty the whole 1.5 hrs we were there even with line ups out the door! This moron who owns the place should get some common sense and take a course in customer service or business savvy. Luckily the food is pretty good especially the tomato prawn appy and pizza so that’s why 3 stars and would easily be 5 if the service was better. I suggest delivery so you don’t have to endure the pain of stupidity.

Where do I even begin? Nothing is good about this restaurant and is the biggest disappointment I’ve seen in a long time and I’ve been to a lot of restaurants. First off considering it’s a pizza place, they should be able to cook good pizza. I mean, that’s what I thought. Pizza was way too thick, greasy and came out burnt and cold. As another person put it, the toppings looked like they had just been thrown on. Some slices had lots of cheese and veggies while other slices barely had any. It also had way too much pizza sauce. To the point where it was literally gushing out and it was very messy and not in a good way. My friend ordered some pasta dish and she was not happy with it either. Way too much sauce and the pasta didn’t seem cooked fully. Now for the atmosphere. Our server was pretty nice, but you could tell she wasn’t really happy working there or being there. I brushed it off, I’ve been a server before and know that sometimes you just have off days and it’s hard to hide it. Then I saw the owner and it all made sense. He was yelling at a cook so loud, multiple tables noticed and we’re looking over. Not sure what the cook did but, the cook was not arguing back at all. Sometimes people mess up, I understand that I used to work in a restaurant but, things need to be handled professionally and this was not professional at all. I felt very uncomfortable and bad for the cook. The owner treats most of his employees terribly. I could help but, notice he was especially rude and disrespectful to the female employees. I later learned from other friends that this behaviour is not uncommon from the owner. Owner is very grumpy and rude. Please do not support this business because, of the way he treats people and also the food. Forgot to mention the price as well. Far too expensive for the quality. Better off going to Boston Pizza — better service, nicer managers and most importantly WAY better food.

This place used to be one of my favorite pizza places around. I used to order the house special all the time when i had company over. Had the house special a few weeks ago and it was terrible. definitely not the way i remember it. I had been telling everyone about how good this pizza was gonna be and everybody was pissed off about how bad it was. Crust was burnt as hell, looked like the toppings were just thrown on without a care and they put way too must pizza sauce! at $ 23(plus tip & taxes) for a medium pizza, it should be nothing but top notch. very disappointed and will never order from here again. Another reason i will never give a dime to this business ever again is the way they treat their employees. When i was about to order the pizza my friend told me not to because«they treat their employees like sh! t, don’t support that place». I didn’t know what he was talking about until i went there to pick the pizza up(i usually just get delivery but was only a block away so i picked it up instead). The guy treats his female employees like garbage, yells at them and talks to them so disrespectful. I will never support this business and their overpriced pizza ever again.

I’ve eaten at San Remo over a number of years and during that time their pizzas have for the most part been decent. As I was passing through Poco recently I decided to pick up a House Special pizza after having not eaten here in nearly a year. Got my pizza and dove in. So how did this most recent pizza stack up compared to other San Remo pizzas over the years? The good: — Toppings. Lots and lots of toppings. They definitely pile on the toppings here and their pizza’s are HEAVY weight. Lots of cheese, too. So if you are in the mood to be «filled up», San Remo doesn’t disappoint. This has always been part of their signature pizza style. — Ingredients. They tend to use higher quality ingredients than most places. The crust has a lighter feel to it than others, despite being a thicker style crust, which is nice. The ok: — Taste. This can fluctuate… for whatever reason, I wasn’t that impressed with the taste of the pizza I got this time. Maybe it was the tangy sauce just not having enough kick, but for me there just wasn’t enough bite and it kind of just tasted a bit bland overall. The bad: — Price. You are paying a premium for this pizza… while not as expensive as Flying Wedge(from what I recall), it is bit pricier than other pizza places. Considering the amount of toppings provided, I suppose they consider this justified… however for me, I think that’s the last time I spend $ 25 on a single medium pizza. Anyway, if you are in the mood for a pizza that piles on the toppings and cheese at a bit higher price than normal, San Remo is a good choice. Taste is subjective so you should at least try it for yourself. The pizza’s are decent, thick style crust with good quality ingredients and lots of them. The only thing I will say that is negative(and has been noted by other reviewers) is more to do with the style of management at the restaurant… I have noticed the past few times I’ve been here, the a burly moustached man(who I assume is the owner) tends to yell at staff often and generally seems angry and overly stressed out. In that regard, I don’t like supporting a business that runs operations that way, so I probably won’t be back to San Remo considering the above concerns during my most recent experience.

By far the best pizza I’ve ever had! This place boasts award winning cuisine and that is definitely an accurate rendition of the culinary experience here! I have only ever ordered delivery and have never dined in at this place so I can only speak as far as delivery services go but this is by far the best pizza I’ve ever ordered. We also ordered the meatball appetizer which was amazing and baked in copious amounts of cheese and sauce. It’s a little pricey as far as delivered pizza goes but it’s worth the price hike if you’re looking for something more than your average run of the mill pizza delivery. Delivery time was average(45 minutes on a busier weekend evening). And each time the order has arrived correct and still hot and fresh. The pizza is made with very fresh ingredients and it’s loaded right up with ingredients. They do not go sparse on that front! Definitely one of my main recommendations to anyone looking for a good QUALITY pizza in this neck of the woods.

I have never been in the actual restaurant so not sure how the atmosphere is looks nice from the outside. I’m excited to try other stuff from there!

We order from here a lot and have had problems in the past– wrong pizza, no debit machine, having to give credit card # upfront all things that do not occur when we order from other places in the area. Oh ya not to mention attitude from the owners. So recently we order a pizza and have it repeated back to us 3 times. Ok so it comes and of course from this place it is wrong. My friend calls and is told to basically dissect the rest of the pizza to ensure that the topping we specifically did not want on the pizza is there. Did you actually CHECk? ?? We were asked. Wow. Yes it is there. So they say they’ll send out a small replacement. But, I’m told we have to turn in ALL the incorrect pieces for them to take backpack. Really??? Piece we have taken bites of? Pizza that has left your control? Who knows what’s on it? I have never had even a cheap 2 for 1 place say that. That is friggin gross. They said oh they want to take it back to the kitchen to show the pizza makers(very punitive– typical of this place). Who on earth takes USED pizza back. Guess they don’t believe one of their very regular customers. Our phone # would reveal regular orders. I just hold them forget it. Manager calls back after previous guy says he’s the manager. Says oh no we don’t want it back then he says he wants to show the kitchen– why can’t you just tell them? Which is it? Someone’s head was gonna roll– sorry people. I am sick of this place and if you read the bad reviews here they are all about the management/owners. The pizza might be good but they need to learn how to, treat employees and customers. Back to me n eds.

Best pizza place, hands down in the Lower Mainland. We have been customers for years. Even now that we live in Coquitlam, I need my San Remo monthly fix. There Lasagna is incredible and the Tiramisu is the best I have ever had. The family that runs it are not only passionate about their restaurant, but perfectionist’s as well. If you are in the POCO area it’s a must to check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

The food is incredible and portion sizes are very generous. We have tried many of the pasta dishes, burgers, salads and of course the pizza. The service is always fantastic and the atmosphere is homey. It’s the small touches that make us feel welcome: a fresh cut flower and lit candle on every table. It can be very busy on the weekends, but it’s definitely worth the wait!

Thick style pizza. We ordered spicy ham, feta and tomatoes. Medium was more than enough for two. Sauce was nice and flavourful. Service is good and home delivery is quick. Delivery person was friendly.

Amazing pizzas and the spaghetti is delicious! I do take out to avoid the busy restaurant. The prices are a bit high for the pizza but if you want something really good it’s definitely worth it.

The restaurant is a little out of the way but well worth finding. Nice new place, very comfortable and quick friendly service. We ordered a flaming fried Greek cheese dish to start and of course couldn’t resist having their delicious thick crust pizza again. We also ordered ribs & lasagna, the portions were large and the ribs were moist and tender. The lasagne ordered for delivery was very small for the price, eat in is much larger. Overall pleasant experience we will be back again soon.

The only place I think of when it comes to «real» pizza. Most other places have switched over to thin crust and, most of the time, they’re thin on toppings too. I ordered a meat lovers pizza from San Remo and it was well packed with meat and cheese and seasoned to perfection. Delivery was fast and the pizza was hot on arrival. Will be back for sure :)

We had driven by many many times and always said we should give it a try. Well one night we did, and we were so pleased! The staff were so kind and helpful, it really does make a difference when you can tell they like where they work. Which in my opinion, reflects the ownership and management. Anyway to the food, we got a specialty pizza since it seemed like that was a big part of their business and it was just amazing! Super perfect crust, perfect amount of toppings and cheese too. We can’t wait to go back!

Should be able to give a zero rating. Don’t eat here unless you want to support power tripping managers who bully and take advantage of young and unknowledgeable staff. The manager John expected my 16yr old son to be a pro after 4hrs of training. My son was hired over the Christmas holidays to host and bus tables. He went in for his 2nd shift regardless of not feeling well but was sent home by John. When asked about when he should come back John swore at him and then told him to call back in a couple of days. My son battles with severe anxiety but pushed through and called in as told to. When he mentioned to John that the phones made him nervous, John basically said if you cannot do the easiest job here then I’ll mail your pay check tomorrow. It’s now been over 2 weeks and my son has received nothing. I have spoke to coworkers who said when they complained about recieving a cold delivery that John banned them from ever eating at San Remos. Stay away.

Their pizzas are so good and filling. It’s not like other pizza places where they are cheap with the toppings.

We eat here a few times a month. The pizza is delicious! It’s the only pizza that fills my husband after 2 pieces. The staff are so friendly. The atmosphere is warm and updated with lots of TV’s to watch sporting events. If you dine in you get your food right away. If you order out it is usually a 45 min wait. The owners were generous and donated a gift certificate for my daughter’s fundraising event for cancer during her battle with cancer. It the best pizza in POCO!
