Pallas Athena Greek Kouzina

The food was absolutely amazing! My husband and I like to have Greek food once a week and try new places. We always get hummus, saganaki and 2 lamb souvlaki dinners. The lamb was so tender, we could cut it with a fork! Hummus was fresh and perfectly textured. The only downfall was the staff were a bit rude and when we complimented the food, they just rolled their eyes. I work in the restaurant industry and have never rolled my eyes when someone has given my company a compliment. It just made it seem like they were so over being there and just wanted to go home for the evening. Regardless, we will be back for the food!

We had our Christmas Party here. The food was good, not too impressed with not having table service for drinks and a mandatory 15% tip added to my bill. I usually too more than 15% but after being forced to tip, I did not. I am certain that the planners of the party tipped when they paid the dinner bill.

Wanted to really find a good local Greek restaurant. Found decent one. It’s service was very good. The décor is trying. But has a feeling of a former insurance office in its former life.
The food was typical Greek. But not well executed. Caesar salad was typical although done fresh. I tried their spanakopita and soup. Both were all ok. But I have had better. I felt all the dishes were underwhelming. Lemon soup had no lemon taste. More rice than chicken and broth.
Maybe their bigger dishes are better. If I get a craving for Greek. I would be willing to try again.

My fiancée and I love the food and the staff are exceptionally friendly. We would recommend this place for a nice meal at a reasonable price. Fresh ingredients and a menu with a little bit of everything make this one of our favourite spots in the Lower Mainland.

Rude owner and staff
Service is super duper slow. Ordered for take out an hour in advance, they say food will be ready in 20 minutes, went in and they made me waited for another 45 minutes just for TAKE OUT. Food is very small in portion. They gave you half of a potato and a little bit of rice for their souvlaki dish while at MY GREEK Taverna, you get so much for the same prices or less you paid here. The waitress is very rude, didn’t even say thanks after you paid. It seems like it’s suck for them to work under the owner.

I used to order from these guys a bunch for delivery when I was too tired to cook for the kids. Then they changed their pricing and I found it was just too pricey. They also used to let you substitutes when you ordered a meal. My kids don’t like potatoes, so we used to get more Greek salad instead. Last time I ordered they wouldn’t let us do this anymore and the prices increased so it’s not really worth it for us anymore. The food was pretty good but when you are feeding 5 kids, it starts getting a bit pricey.

First time at this restaurant, won’t be the last! Great value for the quality and amount of food (we had the Pallas Athena platter for two — fed me, hubby, 3 yr old and leftovers to take home). Everything was delicious; just as good or better than a lot of other Greek places in the lower mainland/​downtown Vancouver. I’m very happy to find a restaurant this good so close to home!

I have yet to be disappointed by the customer service or the food from this restaurant. I wish they had more vegetarian options but I am still very pleased with what I have been able to eat. The employees are very friendly and helpful and that has made each of our dine in experiences excellent!

Awesome greek food! This is the best place to go! Vera the owner is so friendly and takes the time to appreciate all of her customers. The food is excellent and any other place I have tried out of convienience never compares! They have opened another location aswell but they are not as customer service oriented as this location.

Absolutely one of the best lamb dishes I’ve had.
A friend recommended this place as we were looking at dinner options. He has been here on many occasions and orders the exact same dish every time — the roasted lamb. There is even a warning on the menu that the lamb dish would cause an addiction. They were not wrong.
The meal starts off with a Greek salad and pita bread. Then comes the roasted lamb with a generous portion of rice, half a potato and a little bit of beans. The bone literally falls off the lamb and you don’t need to use a knife, as the meat just comes apart. The lamb was generously seasoned with herbs and was delicious even to the very last bite. The lamb itself made me full, I had to pack the rice and potato home.
If I were craving some delicious Greek food and wanted to eat lamb, this is where I would come back to. Maybe next time I’ll try something else on the menu, but right now, the lamb is all I can think of!
Also, the service was really good and I quite liked the décor of the restaurant. They also do take out and delivery.

Great server, food, service and price! We have lived by this location but never even knew it was around the corner. I ended up downloading the mobile bandit app on my iphone and we were hungry and Pallas showed up for 2 souvlaki dinners for $ 26. The chicken was moist and the beef steak was tender. The pita and tzasiki was even fresh!!! Highly recommend for a poco Greek spot! No need to drive out to surrey or Vancouver! Will be back!!!

We had a very special retirement of 11 people at this beautiful restaurant last night. The black and white table décor, fresh flowers, and cleanliness was exquisite.
We were welcomed by the owner and the two waitresses and they took the utmost of care of us throughout the evening.
We had a lovely choice of items from the menu — I personally had the best prawn souvlaki I have ever had. Other guests remarked on the delicious and hot food!!!
We would recommend this restaurant to all — groups and intimate diners. I have already suggested it for our Christmas celebration with 7 retired teachers!
A big note of appreciation to the owner, cooks, the waitress, in particular, our gal.
She was friendly, efficient and warmed the room with her smile.

I love this greek place! The food is always great, the service can sometimes be a bit slow but I’ve come to realize that that’s just part of the evening.

Just to be fair, I’ve frequented this location 3 times over a course of 7 months and I’ve been disappointed every single time. Roast lamb was tough. Kalamari was rubbery. Service was soooo slow like molasses… or watching paint dry. They were understaffed each time we went and always training new people. High turnover? I recommend the Coquitlam location on Barnett Highway. Not that much further but dramatically different and way better.

I went here on December 8^th for a good friends birthday… and needless to say I was very disappointed… And I don’t like saying that about a restaurant! I want to enjoy myself and eat till I’m stuffed! The first thing I noticed was that there were no free refills on pop. They were almost $ 4.00 each… a little disappointing… The second things that happened was my girlfriend ordered the avgolemono soupa which unfortuantely when it came to her tasted like a disgusting hot mush… not what she was expecting! As everyone was being served, my dish took an extra 20 minutes. I had ordered the blackened salmon caesar, and apparently they blackened the first piece of salmon too much. But an extra 20 minutes for salad? Even more disappointing. Not only that but I was paying $ 16.50 for this caesar salad! Considering that the soup my girlfriend ordered was inedible and y salad took 20 minutes longer than everyone else’s meal, I just felt that her meal should’ve at least been free and mine discounted? Much less charged for pop refills… Overal experience: disappointing. Sadly I do not think I will return…

After our first visit to this lovely restaurant, I can tell you we will most definitely be coming back. Upon entering, We were greeted by one of the most charismatic servers I’ve ever encountered. I had the Arni Pisito (roast lamb). It alone was delicious, but I appreciated receiving the fresh baked pita and Greek salad up front as a starter. The décor and atmosphere is very cute, clean. A great place for a birthday party. (There were two here during our dinner). I would also suggest sitting on the patio on a nice day. Finally, I would say the price is really quite reasonable for the level of quality and service as well.

This is a (literally) hidden gem since it’s tucked away behind Save On Foods and the street. I’ve been here a couple of times and both times I have not been disappointed. The ambiance is nice with candlelight, modern décor … Not your typical Greek restaurant with grapevines hanging off the ceiling and loud Greek music playing. A good place for couples or some friends for lunch or dinner. Service was friendly and cheerful.
The food? In a word, YUM! If you like seafood, you got to try the scallops and prawns available as both as an appy and an entrée. Be sure to save some of the freshly made pita to sop up the sauce! Their roasted and broiled lamb dishes were also done up just right.
All in all, one of the best Greek restaurants on the area.

Best prawn & scallop pernod I’ve ever had, I’d literally eat the sauce on its own with a spoon.
Kalamari deep-​fried with vegetable oil, so it was lighter and less greasy than most others I’ve had. Yum :)
