Almost every time I go to a Safeway I am disappointed by their lack of customer service and their price gouging.
Went in to buy roses for my Mom today. Wanted to charge me .25 per rose end water holder and $ 2.50 to wrap in plastic wrap? WTH? Ended up returning them.
As I complained to the girl at the counter, the other girl pipes up/​in (wasn’t even her business) to tell me how it really is… that all florists charge for wrap… which is not true? and begins to then argues with me when I tell her that I have never been charged for wrap…
I complain to the manager who is about? 10 yrs old? and he just says «oh, I’ll talk to her». No apology? Such a weird experience!
I am not going to give my hard earned money to a place that doesn’t value my business. NO MORE SAFEWAY for me.

I really only come here for the bakery, but it’s the best. The cookies are large, cheap and there’s a nice variety — the Reese Cup cookies are amazing. Very good donuts too, especially considering they’re 50% off after 7PM.
