The Moon Dog is a great spot for university students to hang out. I usually like to go at breakfast, since theirs is one of the cheapest in town! The food is nothing special, but the price is right, especially when you are in University.
This is a very neighbourhood pub type of place. There are lots of regulars that hang out here, along with an ever-changing crowd of students.
There are lots of different deals here on different nights, including on drinks. Make sure you confirm prices first though, because sometimes they change if you aren’t there within certain hours.

My neighbour and I had a standing breakfast date at the Moon Dog when I lived in Ottawa. The location was right (between our homes), the price was right ($ 5.75 for a 2-eggs breakfast), but the food has never been very good and the service used to be better.
Definitely don’t go there for supper. We tried it once, and never again.
