We had a group luncheon with family and friends for an aunt’s 80th birthday and my daughter’s birthday. We went to the one on St. Laurent in Ottawa and the servers were awesome. Their names were Paul & Simon. The service was great and fast, They did not hesitate to come to the table several times to make sure all was good and that we didn’t want for anything. One of my guests had a special dietary need and they provided him with a special menu just for him. I thought that was awesome. So he got to enjoy basically the same quality of food that we did. So thank you Paul & Simon for a job well done! And we will be back :) Carole Villeneuve

The day I went there, only 4 tables customers dining. The food is fresh, but in my opinion, not match the price.

We took our family for dinner and our whole experience there was very pleasant. The service was very attentive and fast. They took care of the kids meals first to keep them occupied. The meals ordered were on time and we’re just perfect. Definitely we will return to this place for sure. Great place for seafood with a fast, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I don’t really go to red lobster just they’re usually hit and misses but my friend & I went for late lunch at red lobster since I wanted seafood. Restaurant was not busy & got seated quickly. Service was okay. The food arrived fast. Their biscuits did not even taste amazing as I was hoping since that’s the only thing I find really tasty there. We ordered mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers(even though they specialize on seafood) & calamari with veggies to start. They were okay. I mean how could you go wrong with deep fried stuff. My friend ordered the lunch special where you could pick any two — she ordered garlic shrimp & i forgot what the other shrimp was. She said it was okay as well. I ordered the lobster linguini & it gave me an upset stomach. it made me feel sooo sick in the middle of the night. Overall, won’t come back here again.

When you walk in you are greeting with an amazing staff and the one thing I found amazing is that the waiters and waitresses are very attentive. They make great seafood dishes and I would definitely recommend this place.

We’ve tried it three times now and found this place over priced for below average seafood. I guess being from the East coast and having family there to visit has spoiled me.

Since we don’t have any Red Lobsters in Montréal or in the province of Quebec, we decided to drive 2 hours to Ottawa. We ordered crab legs and buttered shrimps. I was very disappointed. I didn’t find a lot of meat in the crab legs and the shrimps shrunk because they left them too long in the oven. The plates are definitely different from the pictures and the commercials that I remembered.

First time ever at a red lobster. Food was à little over seasoned for my taste. But service was great. Very kid friendly with special seating for car seats. Portions are huge. Would go again but would only order entrée.

Seated swiftly. Waiter showed up promptly. Food was hot(though bisque was salty). Biscuits were grand. Service was good. Prices were pretty much as expected. What’s not to like?

Hadn’t been in Red Lobster in 20 years. I thought the service was excellent however the food was so so… Instead of having so much food on a plate why not make smaller portions and improve the quality of the ingredients. A little finesse goes a long way. Note to self: avoid the pasta dishes next time.

It’s been over fifteen years since I’ve been to Red Lobster. I have fond memories of going as a kid when they were still around Montréal and ending my meal with a treat, by opening their treasure chest filled with cheap toys and goodies for me to chose from. I’ve been anticipating my return to this restaurant since I knew I was going to be in the area for Canada day. After much time spent contemplating their menu online and looking at pictures, everything was drool-worthy. I opted for the fishermen’s feast which is a trio of lobster tail, fish filet and mini scallop and shrimp casserole. The casserole wasn’t as cheesy or creamy as I imagined and I was a bit disappointed that I had over-hyped things in my head. The cheddar bay biscuits were one of the main reasons for going and they lived up to expectations. I had a coupon for a free appetizer or desert after signing up to their newsletter, I chose the giant cocktail shrimps but was a bit shocked to see there were only 6 on a plate, and really not that jumbo. This is a 10 bucks I’m gad I did not have to pay for. The food was very good overall, the only issue arose when my bf found a piece of scale or stringy looking thing in his fish filet– when we brought our concern to our server, she apparently consulted the kitchen staff and came back and told us it was normal. We would have preferred if she had offered us another dish or replacement– she actually never checked up on us to ask if the food was alright, did not seem knowledgeable about the menu and was slow in her whole approach.

Had the Crab & Walt’s Shrimp special. Was pretty tasty. Felt a bit gross afterwards but the service was good. Been going there for years so I’m sure I’ll be back.

Where to begin with this disappointing experience? 1. They don’t take reservations. Who doesn’t take reservations these days, particularly on a holiday long weekend?! 2. No surprise, then, that when we arrived the line was out the door with zero parking and a 60 – 75 minute wait time. 3. Finally being seated and ordering drinks was okay. According to the waitress, because it was so busy, there was a special«list» of people who should be getting their complimentary biscuits, so service would be slow on receiving those at our table. Wait, what? These are free products given to customers and the kitchen can’t keep up? If anything, they should have been baking extra biscuits and taking them outside to the customers waiting in line for over an hour. Our table ended up getting four biscuits for three people, and when we asked for more we were told we’d go back on that infamous«list.» The biscuits had a tough crust on the outside when they should have been soft and the bottoms had a metallic baking sheet taste. 4. Alcoholic drinks are incredibly overpriced, even for a nice restaurant as Red Lobster is. Really, some drinks run $ 7 – 9 yet they still only contain an ounce or 1.5oz of alcohol(which most restaurants charge $ 5 – 7 for). That’s just greediness. 5. Portion sizes for the entrees and desserts were small. 6. The caesar salad didn’t have bacon in it. It should. The dressing, on the other hand, was delicious, and the salad was well tossed to put a good amount of dressing throughout the salad. 7. Service from the waitress was subpar, including bringing us the wrong drinks and then bringing us extra drinks we didn’t ask for. She also seemed rushed, annoyed, and was generally unprofessional with us. Our experience, particularly considering the expensive price tag of eating at Red Lobster, was incredibly disappointing.

We are visiting from the USA and were tired of trying new places and just wanted a restaurant that we knew would have good food so we came here. We had recently stopped going to Red Lobsters back home because the quality of service was declining over the years. We did not have that problem here. A lady up front took out a lobster so my kids could see one up close. Our server was phenomenal, the perfect package of friendliness and attentiveness. The biscuits were cooked to perfection. The rest of the food was all really good too. It was definitely a nice evening out.

I hadn’t been to Red Lobster since I was little, and I was so excited to come here, but I ended up being so disappointed. I even wrote it off as a one-time bad experience and went back a second time, but again, I was disappointed. I came for their Shrimp Fest and ordered their popcorn shrimp and garlic shrimp. Wow. Terrible. The popcorn shrimp just tasted like deep-fried batter — where was the shrimp? The garlic shrimp was just swimming in butter. The shrimps were so small that I’m pretty confident that I could have stuffed all of them in my mouth and finished my meal like that. For $ 15 it was pretty cheap. cheap quality, that is. The second time, I tried out the tilapia. I eat tilapia all the time because it’s part of Filipino cuisine, but oh man, what a way to butcher a great fish! Tilapia is supposed to be light and flaky, but this was oily and tasteless. Disgusting. The waitress, both times, was really sweet, but it didn’t make up for the quality of the food. at all. Even more disappointing was the news that their famous«Treasure Chest» with little toys, crayons, and other small goodies for kids no longer exists. I’m shaking my head as I’m writing this.
