You stand in line and read the menu on the wall behind the food, which is set out on a steam table. If there are people behind you, there’s a sense of being rushed to order, unless you’re the type who could care less about the next guy. That’s the initial experience of Mucho Burrito. I had the Taquires salad as spicy hot as they could make it. The server appeared to be going through a difficult time in his life as he didn’t smile or make eye contact, but that was okay. The salad had pieces of chicken mixed in with a hot pepper mix, lettuce, and all the necessary etceteras. Tasty, almost hot enough and for a little more than ten bucks with an ice tea(they didn’t have diet) it was worth the effort.

Okay so i like the food, but am not a fan of the staff. The one manager seems mean to the staff. They all move really slowly, and act like they are doing you a favour. It is expensive i usually pay $ 13-$ 14 for my quesadilla, chips and drink.

I’d like to start by saying I like spicy food. Really, I do. I put sriracha on everything, and I’ve ordered(and enjoyed) chicken wings that were so spicy I was required to sign a waiver. With that being said, I didn’t have a great experience here tonight. I got a small burrito and a bag of nacho chips and salsa. On the burrito I got chicken, rice, beans, a bunch of different veggies, cilantro, hot salsa. I asked for hot sauce, as I recently went to the Merivale location and really enjoyed the ghost pepper sauce they use. She put a huge line of it on. Huge. I thought maybe this was a different type of hot sauce than the one they used at Merivale, because there they use a very small amount of it at a time and ask if you want more to make sure they don’t make it too spicy. Sure enough it was the same sauce. It was excessively hot. As in, I couldn’t finish more than 2 bites. I downed my entire Jarrito and went up and told the woman it was excessively hot. The woman was argumentative and explained that I asked for hot sauce. I explained that it was too hot and at the other location they use a very small amount, however she just slathered it on. She continued to argue with me and eventually the manager came out and offered to make me a new one, which was good. However, I refused because that seriously took my appetite away. The chips and salsa also weren’t great because they changed the freaking hot salsa. The salsa they have there now is made with fig marmalade, its gross. Why mess with a good thing? I enjoy Mucho Burrito and I’ll probably be back but not to this location.

This was my first time eating Mexican food in Ottawa. I ordered the Carnitas burrito, which was prepared by an assembly line of people. Unfortunately, none seemed to care about spreading out the ingredients… forcing me to intervene. I later discovered that the salsa was sweetened. Not a good burrito, I won’t return.

Went there to eat 2 weeks ago. The place is nice and clean. It reminds me a bit of the American chain restaturant Chipotle. It’s bit more expensive than usual but overall, I enjoyed my carnitas burrito. It was good, fresh and tasty. And the fact that it’s on the strip mall with plenty of parking, I think it’s an added plus. I hate going to restaurants where I have to find a parking space. I’ll definitely come back here again.

This was my first time trying Mucho Burrito and I wasn’t overly impressed with the restaurant or food being anything special or extraordinary. This location in particular is new and beautiful. There are some high-end finishes and clearly some money went into creating a nice, high-quality décor. The menu board itself is easy to read and follows the same process as Subway or any other we’ll-make-it-while-you-watch fast food location: Choose your meat Choose your size (If ordering tacos) choose hard or soft (If ordering a burrito) choose white or brown tortilla Choose your toppings But beyond the obvious the staff were not helpful in this process. Four people must have touched my burrito before it was assembled. Despite having a potentially appetizing-looking dressing table, none of the ingredients were labelled. I could see some obvious ingredients(beans, rice, peppers and onions), but I was at a loss for figuring out what some of the spreads and sauces were. When I asked, the female responded with«sauce!» and when I asked what was in it it suddenly became a chore for her to do so. The price for a medium burrito, which was a fair size for my spouse and I, came to $ 20, or $ 10 per burrito. That’s highly priced when you consider the other options available, and the quality of ingredients are not worth such a high price. It was worth trying, but nothing I couldn’t make at home or find at another fast food restaurant. Service should be improved and prices should be reduced.
