Since im a preferred vegetarian, This place has one of the best vegetarian burgers i have had ever. Food was soo good and the service was pretty good and fast too. Defneatly worth trying and a convenient location.

I would have never gone to Milestones if it hadn’t been for my sister giving me a gift card! The location is downtown so parking is few and far between but when parked and done walking, the food is well worth the walk struggle to get good parking ! I was DD so no bellinis for me but daaaaayum they looked amazing and cute little plastic animal toppers ! I enjoyed the food ! I love goat cheese so the goat cheese plate ;) ;) but yeah food is very fancy looking ! It is more on the pricey side but the Monday special is wonderful 4 bellinis and 4 appetizers for 40 $ that’s reallyyyyy good! The interior is very nice ! Very modern with low dim lighting it’s very romantic ! Try it out and you’ll see for yourself that it is quite a nice place ! I will be going back at some point :)

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown. Menu options are quite diverse, but the execution falls a little short, sorry to say. Had the artichoke dip and Thai red curry bowl, two dishes that are quite popular. Both were ok. Wish I could say more…

Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch and the place was deserted and smelled like old mop water (a bit of a vinegar smell). Our waiter was very friendly, courteous, prompt and professional, so kudos for service! However, I had an omelette and could see beads of fat leaking out of it (melted butter and oil), and it tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave.
I wasn’t impressed, but it wasn’t terrible either. The elderflower-​grapefruit mimosa was the highlight of my meal.

Prime location downtown. Service was adequate but atmosphere was nice. For a seating during the weekday is prompt.

Ate there last night. We were early and so we sat at the bar. Drinks were good, bartender was great so we ate our dinners at the bar. All good, steak and frites but the steak was a bit chewy. Good value meal especially considering what we had and paid at Daly’s this am.

I really can’t understand why this store in Unilocal has such high score, cos everything we had were all below expectations. Only the music is good.
The ribs is toooooo salty, after eating this rib, I feel like I need to drink over 10 glasses of water tonight, I can’t image how many milligrams of sodium I took from this dish. One star for the side vegetables and another star for the good service, I don’t like the food at all. Location is great, just beside fairmont hotel, the staff are friendly

Burger patties are delicious. Always well seasoned and juicy. The quality of their fries can be inconsistent — sometimes crispy, sometimes limp and soggy, but always hot and fresh out of the fryer. Tried their calamari, shrimp and spinach/​artichoke dip appetizers — all have been up to par and consistent in quality and taste. Steaks are impressive as well.
Overall, consistent quality, excellent service and always my go-​to restaurant whenever I have to bring a friend to a nice and affordable restaurant. They also have a Wednesday Date Night promotion where 2 can dine for $ 50 every Wednesday!

We unfortunately had a dinner experience which fell far below our expectations. Our server may have been new or clueless, but was not knowledgeable about most of the menu items and then tried to cover her tracks after forgetting to order our entrees. Drinks and Caesar salads arrived promptly and were the highlights of the meal. But our dinner entrees hadn’t arrived an hour after our seating and upon inquiry the first response was that there were some big orders ahead of us, but we were next; then that my chicken takes the longest of any entrees to cook. Somewhere between the excuses, she must have placed the order.
I could best describe the food as institutional. The half crispy chicken wasn’t bad on the dark meat side, but the breast was bone-​dry. My wife’s short ribs could have used a lot more moisture as well. We both has high expectations for the smashed potatoes, but they were dry and clumpy and the seasonable veggie came out of a bag.
Should have just had drinks and burgers.

I have to give Milestones a 5 star because I absolutely love their food and peach bellinis. I have always had great service and its a great restaurant to go to when my best friend visits from out of town because she needs GF and they have a lot of great options for her.
So good, little pricier then I like but might be a good thing because it stops me from going all the time.

It was the first restaurant I visited in Ottawa for dinner!!! It was delicious, my mom got ships with mango, my dad a half a chicken that was super tasty and I got a noodle thai salad that was incredible!!! so if you don’t know where to go, this is def a good option!!!

Accommodated my anti-​allium requests with no scoffing! Had the filet mignon 7oz it was outstanding, one of the bests I’ve had in a long time. Grilled with just salt and pepper (avoiding allium which can sneak in with onion salt or garlic salt prepped meats) accompanied with a baked potato dressed with cheddar cheese. Delicious! They had intended to serve steamed vegetables but there was a disconnect in the fact that the vegetables included red onions, so this took two attempts. One in my party had one of the $ 5 Bellini’s they were offering. He never had one like this before, it was served in a martini glass and was a frozen drink with an entertaining figurine on the side, tasted lovely. They have Smirnoff flavored vodkas and carry Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc at the time of this review which left me quite satisfied! Overall given my food intolerance issues this place was great with me and really made me feel welcome and trusting that they had me covered.

I Love this Milestones — particularly this location. Perhaps it has a lot to do with nostalgia, but even so, we made and continue to make memories at this specific establishment. It’s in the heart of Ottawa, steps away from Parliament, the Byward Market, and the Rideau Centre. The food is very good, it’s decently priced, and their signature Bellini is a must-​have.
Parking is always a little tricky downtown, but the walk from the underground parking at Rideau is not far at all.
There is a restaurant side, and a lounge side, both of which will house your group of friends or family for as long as you would like to stay. The staff are very friendly and good-​natured when it comes to special occasions such as birthdays or bachelorette parties! So, put on your Sunday clothes and take a trip to Milestones — I hope you enjoy it as much as I always do.

I came here on Wednesday for date night. We ordered Bellinis too because they were only $ 5 for the 25 year anniversary of Milestones. We ordered the mozzarella fritters (4 total) and they were very appetizing. We then asked for the 8oz top sirloin but we were told it can be changed to a 10oz prime rib instead for no extra cost, so we went for that. It was amazing! It tastes just as good as The Keg but cheaper. For dessert, we had the peanut butter and jelly cheesecake, which was also good. I can understand people might be put off by the name (I was), but give it a try. The service was also great even though it was a very busy night, our server was very attentive.

SIGH.
I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d give Milestones anything less than a 5-​star review.
You see, I’m not a foodie. When I find a restaurant and a dish that I like, I stick to it. For 3 years I’d eat pretty much exclusively at this restaurant when I’d go out. It really was that good. I’d have the same dish everytime, too: Popcorn chicken appetizers with the NY Stripling as an entrée, extra peppercorn sauce too.
Their steak was the most amazing steak I’d ever eaten. Even better than Hy’s!
The problems began arising when Milestones started fixing a menu that wasn’t broken.
One day I went in and my treasured popcorn chicken entrée wasn’t there. It had been replaced with a slew of new appetizers that were decent, though never quite as good. Except for the crispy Asian chicken bites; I liked those.
My company’s VP came all the way here from Texas and I wanted to prove to him that Milestones had a steak that could compete with the ones he gets to enjoy at the capital of steaks. Unfortunately, the joke was on me.
Once again, Milestones made some pretty bad changes to their menu. Everything I recognized in the appetizer menu was replaced, and the most amazing steak I’ve ever had turned into a bland mess. I’m not sure what sort of sauce they use these days, but my goodness is it awful.
My VP said their steak tasted like McDonald’s grade by Texan standards.
I’m only giving a 3 star review instead of 1 or 2 because I remember what Milestones used to be and have hope that it’ll go back to being the amazing restaurant it once was. This was a place I’d go to about 3 times a month and consistently had amazing service.

I give it a three, because there was little a vegan could eat. My friend mentioned many times how amazing her $ 20 all-​inclusive brunch was. She had a cocktail, fruit salad, egg benedicts, and a dessert. My other friend loved her chopped salad. As for my bf and I, we thought the veggie burger was too simple and lacked veggies and taste. The pattie looked like it was one of those frozen patties you buy at the grocery. I make better ones at home! Next time, I’ll save my $ 17!

I’ve always had great customer service and good food at this Milestones location. The staff are extremely friendly and incredibly helpful. The food is good with enough of a variety to please different people. I particularly enjoy the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Sriracha Slaw with a side of sweet potato fries. The prices are fair. I enjoyed the atmosphere of both the restaurant and the lounge, both are equally comfortable and spacious. I always enjoy this location for lunch or an after work girl’s night with Bellini’s.

My boyfriend and I have gone twice now and each time we had great service and the food was delectable! We heard about the monday girls night out– and figured we’d catch the deal for our date nights :3
4 appetizers + 4 bellinis (really yummy cocktail drinks with rum in them) for 40 $ (pretty great deal actually)
The dishes? Super yummy — surprisingly so at first and then just something we expected the second time round! Very fancy setting, conveniently downtown– easy enough to find, easy reservations, etc!
Great place :3 (loved the goat cheese plate– just saying)

My favorite thing about this place are the ultimate bellinis! They’re delicious. We also ordered the bruschetta and pasta and they were very good as well!

Milestones boasts an awesome patio (a people-watcher’s kind of view of Rideau and le Château Laurier) as well as a swank inside dining that rests over the canal.
I’ve enjoyed a few meals there in the past.
This morning we sat on the patio and started with water and mimosas (actually we ordered one cocktail but the waitress brought two and we didn’t feel like spoiling the mood by sending one back… Besides, they were good enough to swig fast!)
I’ll def be back for the California shrimp eggs Benedict. Avocado and shrimp always make for a beautiful union and the home fries with salsa were a nice contrast.
The regular breakfast special lived up to its name– was just regular.
I RECOMMEND: Sunday brunch in general, we all have our favorites.
EXTRA TIP: Or a warning anyway… this is just another one of these chains so don’t go in expecting a fiesta or some unique dining experience. No big hype, just a good bite.

Le Milestone à Ottawa est mon endroit privilégié pour aller prendre un verre avec mes deux meilleures copines. Ça commencé par un simple bellini qui vient garni d’une figurine en plastique colorée et c’est devenu assez rapidement une tradition. Il y a quelques années, pendant un été complet, je m’y retrouvais à chaque semaine après le travail. Au cours des années j’ai donc eu la chance de goûter à la plupart des plats. Les hamburgers, l’entrée de fromage de chèvre et ail grillé, la salada asiatique et les raviolis à la citrouille sont mes plats favoris. J’adore l’ambiance et le service a toujours été super bien. J’y suis retournée récemment avec la nouvelle de la gang, une petite princesse de 9 mois et on nous a très bien accommodé, même si ça n’est pas nécessairement l’endroit idéal pour un bébé. Je préfère le côté du bar, surtout avec la terrasse qui donne vu sur la rue Rideau, mais il nous reste 18 ans à attendre avant que la plus nouvelle du groupe soit assez vieille pour qu’on s’y retrouve!
