I have natural hair and I wanted to get my hair blow dried and flat ironned for a wedding I was going to while I was in Ottawa. I called on Friday and got a 10am Saturday appointment. I had an appt with Janice. When I asked her what products she used she freely told me, unlike some other salons that I have gone to. She even gave me a tip on an avacado mixture I could use to deep condition my hair and when she detangled my hair she used a wide tooth comb and gently combed out the tangles in my hair. She quickly blow dried my hair, gave me a trim, and then meticulously flat ironned my hair. She even told me how to blow dry my own hair so that I don’t have to always pay a hairdresser.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I felt she used a little too much product in my hair when she was flat ironning my hair and I felt that my hair was a little greasy.
I will have to say that if you book an appointment try to book it early in the morning because by the time I left, there was at least 3 people waiting for an appointment. Of course, there was another hairdresser at the salon, so they may not have all been waiting for Janice.
I loved the fact that my whole appointment only took 1 ½ hours and it only cost me $ 55 and I have thick medium length hair. There was ample free street parking on the Saturday that I went.
I would definitely go back when I am in town.
