Like any restaurant, peek hours are the hardest, so if you go on a weekend don’t expect the absolute best experience. I think if you want something other then bacon and eggs this is the place. Food is fresh and the menu is very accommodating to even the pickiest of eaters.

Popped in here for breakfast. I’ve always heard negative things about Cora’s but decided to try it anyways. WOW, was it ever inaccurate. My server, Mike, was great! He helped me with the gluten free options. He was extremely knowledgeable, being gluten free himself. Their new gluten free bread is soo good! I have a feeling that I’m going to be a regular there!

I don’t understand the appeal. Sure, if you order something that features fruit, you’ll get a decent pile of it. I ordered Penny’s Poached, which is a piece of toast with a poached egg, a small cup of cottage cheese, and a pile of fruit. This cost a little over $ 10. If I made this at home, it’d be a lot less pricey. Alternatively, you can order the crepes, panini, or waffles, but all of them come heavily drenched in some sort of sauce. Maybe I’m the type of person who’d be happier with a scone and coffee for breakfast and that’s why I didn’t enjoy my experience so much, but truly I don’t understand the appeal for this over-priced chain.

If it weren’t for the company during my meal here, it would have been totally awful. Thankfully, Fauve G is always good for interesting breakfast chatter. We went for Sunday brunch and we didn’t have to wait long at all, which is usually my reason for not going to Cora’s, whatever the location. I’d always frequented the Merivale location, but they’re relatively the same. Lots of table and booths packed in with a definite family-style vibe. Fauve and I both ordered crepes stuffed with eggs(which I can’t for the life of me find on their online menu to remember the name — there’s a picture but no listing). She had ham and egg and I opted for the bacon and egg. I was expecting a mound of fresh fruit on the side, but we didn’t get too much. Also, the crêpe was smaller than I thought it would be. That being said, I’m sure the calories more than made up for it. I was really bummed out about the whole experience. The crepes were unbelievably greasy and not too warm, and a lot of the fruit was way too ripe. I couldn’t even bite the nectarine it was so hard. The service was seriously awful, minus the lovely girl who we paid at the end of the meal. Our waiter seemed angry at the world, and a bit at us as well. He checked on us often enough, but it was with a bit of irritation.

Cora’s makes a great breakfast and tons of fresh fruit. The device has continually declined at all the locations of the past couple of years. Go for the food not the service!

Great big breakfasts & lunches. For a Brit, the mix of ingredients which make up a typical breakfast dish is a bit odd. Eggs over easy, sausage, bacon, ham, crêpe/pancake, fried potatoes sharing dish real estate with strawberry, melon & pineapple doesn’t seem right. Fruit at breakfast isn’t weird, just fresh fruit on a plate of fried food? Actuallya huge heap of fried potato wedges doesn’t seem right either! Regardless, it works just fine and their fruit is as fresh as you get! Well-cooked, plentiful portions & as many refills as you like. Nice service goes a long way to making it a pleasure to dine there too. Very, very popular & correspondingly busy. Frequent queues for breakfast. Opens at 6am Mon-Sat though(7am Sundays), so just get there early! Lunches served from 11am &, although never sampled personally, given the strength of the breakfast offerings, the lunch sandwich menus look VERY promising.
