Good food but this place has terrible service. I realize they are eastern european(so am I) but this is ridiculous. I just called and ask for the hours, got a quick/angry«6 pm» response then they immediately hung up on me. They also don’t have their hours up on google and it’s 2016, wtf. Embarrassing. This is not how you run a successful business in Canada.

This place is amazing. My husband is Polish so when we moved to Ottawa we looked everywhere for a decent Polish deli. JACKPOT! The meats are so fresh and so good, and very affordable. If I’m ever creating a charcuterie board, I always buy my meats here as it will cost half the price as the grocery store or other deli’s. They also have a great Polish cheese selection too, and every Friday get a delicious batch of Paczki(polish donuts) in from Montréal. We never leave the store without some awesome Polish candies(they have a great selection), hot Polish mustard, and a dried kabanos for the car ride! This place is as authentic as it gets!

This place is great, and by the looks of it, somewhat unknown! They make a mean sandwich though that is both filling, generous with quality ingredients, and holds its own against the closest sandwich shops(some of the best in the city — Sherwood and Di Rienzo’s). Particularly, the cheese they put on it was really flavourful, tasted like a strong Gouda or Swiss. Baltyk Deli is definitley worth visiting for a $ 5 sandwich, as well as for perusing their elecletic grocery items from Eastern and Central Europe.

I can’t believe that I’m the first person to review this place. I’ve been going here for several years now. It’s a little Polish grocery store with a deli, in the same strip mall as a Cosmo Prof, Solea and Cypress Garden. Their cold cuts are excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I love the dried kabanosy here — quite easily the best in the city(however, as of late they have been a little more fatty than usual, hopefully they will revert back to using more lean meats). The kielbasa here is delicious, very garlicky and meaty(second only to the now defunct European Meat Market in Kensington Market in Toronto). They also have desserts here. They have a rich and creamy cheesecake and some delicious meringues(brought in from Montréal). They also have the poppy seed roll found in most Polish delis. I haven’t tried it, but it looks good. Reasonable prices on the polish grocery items. I love the Vegeta multipurpose seasoning. They even have the one without MSG! If you love kabanosy and/or kielbasa you have to try the ones here!
