Cute, efficient, lots of seating and tasty coffee and good artisan sandwich albums that aren’t exorbitantly priced (like most coffee shops).
This will be a regular place of mine for weekend study.

I really dug this place. I was staying on York St and googling for coffee places to get a post dinner coffee fix and this place showed up. I really liked their latte and the general environment and décor of the place. Its a nice coffee spot to come grab a bite to eat and drink some good coffee. Friendly staff. Their biscotti was quite yummy. I tried the Parisian sandwich next day for lunch and it wasn’t very good, especially compared to a real ham and swiss sandwich i had the chance to eat in Paris. But good place for coffee! I recommend.

Artissimo is one of my go-​to places when I’m near the market and in the mood for tea.
They have a lovely selection of loose leaf teas on a shelf, which customers are allowed to look at and sniff to help decide what kind to get. Personally, I’m a fan of fruity teas — if you like those too, I recommend the peach flavoured one.
This is a great place to study and relax. On some nights, they have people there playing music in the background, which can be nice, but at the same time can be slightly overbearing since the play is pretty small.

Wish I could give in a 3.5… Overall one of the better coffee places in downtown Ottawa if you want to sit and do work and not have to scramble looking for a seat or finding a quiet place. I am not a huge coffee drinker but will say the coffee and the food are pretty decent and not bad for the price, but I don’t think anything to write home about

This is a fabulous find !
Artissimo serves fresh sandwiches, and homemade soups (pricing ranging from 4 – 12 $). It’s a nice little treat for yourself, whether you are looking to break up the workday, enjoy a coffee date with a friend or sit and catch breath.
This café is adorable, the décor is very cozy. They have various seating types to accommodate your needs.
My personal favorite, and they bake their desserts on site, is their carrot cake. It is so delicious ! I would have it every day if I could ! A must try if you take go to Artissimo :)

Impressive. The pot of tea is kept warm with a candle, the waiter refills it for free without disturbing you in your studies. Coffee is very good. However, my best compliments are given to the french style sandwiches. Discovered this place when I moved to ottawa 3 years ago, and I am a regular customer ever since. Ambiance is classy and the music is usually good. Sometime they just let the radio go which is pretty annoying knowing that pop music isnt exactly the best coffee music ever. I think it turns out a bar at night, but never experienced it. Congrats on a great venue !

I hate this place so much. Who the hell comes up with the genius idea of serving alcohol and coffee at a café?
Start drinking vodka until buzzing, drink coffee until ok then repeat cycle!
The coffee here is ok, but the atmosphere is pretty neat. It’s nicer than the rest of the cafes in the market in a classy way but it also doubles as a bar so that’s slightly not fair. I haven’t tried the food here but they do have a patio in the summer.
This is an awesome place to kick back and disappear or to sit back and read.

This is probably my favorite café in town. The ambiance is very trendy, with red velvet all over the place. They even have a piano, and have live music on some nights.
Their London Fog is to die for, and they are exceptionally friendly.
They even serve wine, drinks, and beer. However don’t expect prices like Tim Hortons or the like.
A great place to study, and even have a quick drink!
I highly recommend this place!
