This place is a pearl in these amazing surroundings! The food is well prepared, classy and the service is very friendly,(a rare feature in small towns!) and Tinhorn Creek wine is also delicious. The view over the vineyards makes it a favorite place for lunch and dinner. (Their roasted olives are simply amazing!!)

Disappointed with the charcuterie plate. An overpriced entrance with a terrible taste. I would recommend avoid this option at all costs. Some friends got the pizza and that was superb.

I should say I’m quite partial to European style restaurants with amazing views and patio sitting, and I visited during the summer, but I was nonetheless taken aback by my experience here, in the sleepy town of Oliver. We had the local greens salad, mushroom pizza, chicken, and steak, and all were wonderful, and definitely a place to stop by in the south Okanagan Valley region.

Good food, good services, sometimes a bit slow but otherwise very European. Absolutely fab views. Had a storm drop in while we were finishing up so got a bit windy before we left. Enjoyed a nice Char(fish), starters of a chilled soup, finished up with a lemon crema. Their wines are tasty — especially the White 2Bank.

Ate here while on a trip to osoyoos with my pregnant wife, just tought we’ll try something new, we really can’t dress formal cause we’re on a vacation, and we’re just planning to relax, so we went casual. Saw the crowd, not that formal, but we were served badly, I don’t know why, maybe because we look young? And maybe because of what were wearing, but the service is bad, food was late(it tastes good though… I’ll give them that), servers didn’t even try to talk to us while we were waiting at the front. It’s just sad that alot of the review for this place was 4 to 5 stars, and I got fooled with it. I won’t recommend this place to any friend of mine.

A Very very good dinner at Miradoro tonight! I’m a vegan, which they were able to accommodate(and did more than accommodate), without much warning ahead of time– and the dish was AMAZING. Oyster mushrooms smokey-grilled with a vegan gnocci– Yum! The service was great, good portions, atmosphere wonderful, even the bread was awesome. Nice to have a great option in Oliver.

Fabulous food with sensational tastes! Wine, of course, was spectacular. Servers knew food & wine pairings well. One of the top 2 restaurants in the area!

Not so long ago I went on a girls only road trip to Osoyoos, British Columbia. I’ve been to Summerland many times, but never to the South Okanagan Valley. I am still dreaming about the beautiful summer weather, blue skies and the meal we enjoyed at Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek Winery. Miradoro and Chef Jeff Van Geest was recently handed«Best Winery and Vineyard Dining» winner of Vancouver Magazine; Miradoro topped best of BC and the best of the Okanagan Valley, beating Terrace Restaurant at Mission Hill. Miradoro Restaurant is modernly designed with floor to ceiling windows, large wrap around patio balcony with view of the lush wine and orchard valley. It was a hot and stuffy BC summer. We got the best seat in the house on the balcony to watch the sunset next to the amphitheatre. During the summer months, we highly recommend making reservations as tourist and locals flood this area. Tinhorn Creek Gewuztraminer is a refreshing classic gewurz. This medium weight gewurz is pale lemon color with flavors of rose petals, lychee, pink grapefruit, and spice. I love that it is balanced and not overdone. honey grilled quail 19: Soft tender and succulent quail flavored with hazelnut, prosciutto & cabbage cappuccio. Best paired with Oldfield Series Pinot Noir 2010. heirloom tomato & stonefruit panzanella 16: bread salad with basil, buratta, shallots, organic olive oil & mosto cotto. Best paired with Oldfield Series 2Bench White 2013. sloping hill pork belly 29: Fall of the fork pork belly with gewürztraminer glaze, chick pea fritter, apricot, jalapeño, cilantro, roasted carrots. Oldfield Series 2Bench Red 2010 forno roasted ling cod 26: puy lentils with braised greens, pine nut & raisins, garlic & bread fonduta, garlic chips. Fresh and light flakey fish and best paired with Oldfield Series 2Bench White 2013. wild boar bacon carbonara 26: spaghetti alla chitarra, black pepper, slow poached egg, arugula & parmesan. Best paired with Oldfield Series Syrah 2010. There’s something about being on vacation. No matter how full you are, there is always room for dessert. olive oil & hazelnut cake 12: praline, summer fruit preserves, birch syrup, vanilla bean gelato. This was my favorite dessert. Soft sponge cake soaked with birch syrup. chocolate bundino 12: sponge toffee, blackberry, dulce de leche cream lemon crema 12: citrus mint salad & lavender sablé cookie I love that Tinhorn Creek has a top notch restaurant to match their vineyard winery. You can spend a good day here. Go a on Tinhorn Creek wine tour. Learn about their sustainable farming practices.

Best of the ‘sit down fancy restaurant’ types in the Osoyoos /Oliver area. Beautiful setting outdoors, great presentation of the food. Flavors were excellent, server very helpful in making drinks and helping with special requests etc. Pork Belly — crispy, flavorful. if it wasn’t so heart attack inducing i’d eat more Flat bread — again not bad, not ‘special’ but tasty. If you’re looking for a sit down ‘fine dining’ type in the region, this is the one to go to. that or Terrafina is a close second. just avoid Sonora Room.

Best winery outside of Osoyoos. The grounds are beautiful and there’s ton of space for parking. Once inside, the staff are extremely attentive. You’re immediately given a glass of a feature wine. With your first taste in hand, you enter the main tasting room. The wines are made from grapes and not any pre-made juices or anything like that. They have very few blends(unlike wineries that mix blueberries and cherries and etc) so this is a true and pure winery. Excellent wines at excellent prices. Purchase a bottle or glass, along with some crackers and cheese, and enjoy the patio. After the tasting, feel free to take the self-tour and explore the deep and rich history of the family and winery. You can view the bottling line, the storage tanks, the pressing area and the oak barrel room. After the self-tour, head to the back of the winery to catch a Saturday evening music concert or just walk the mini-vineyard and sample the grapes. To end the day, stop at the restaurant for Tapas or dinner service with okanagan valley views. This is an excellent winery. Whether you’re a first timer or have a lot of winery experiences, check out Tin Horn.

Went here with our two young boys and the staff were very accommodating. They have a kids menu and the kids were very content with a cheese pizza and chicken strips. We had an excellent salad, pizza and pasta. surprised to see some negative comments on this board about service. The server and owners were very gracious and pleasant when we visited. Although the room makes it feel like a fine dining restaurant, the pizza and pasta are solid choice.

The atmosphere was great & it was a hot evening so we got a great seat with a view on the patio. But I have to say, as fancy & renowned as this place was, it was not even close to the best place we ate at during our trip. The wines were not very fantastic, for one. But more so, the recommended wine & food pairings which I went with from the menu were really not that great paired with the food. The food was okay on its own, but there was some element that didn’t go very well with it. I had the Elk steak and with smoked farro. The smokey farro wasn’t my cup of tea. The elk was cooked well but it was a bit much for me. The budino for dessert sounded great on the menu but just ended up being a chocolate pudding, which I realize that’s what a budino is — but for a restaurant like this, I expected more. The best thing we had there was the Sangria with fresh local cherries, but it was a tad on the sweet side.

Wild. Boar. Carbonara. Enough said! Well, I know I owe my fellow Unilocalers some more delectable deets, so here it goes: Miradoro was another stop on my Wineo Tour 2014. I was here for dinner after the Half Corked Marathon and all my senses were just dazzled. We were sat a really nice table on the patio, directly up against the glass barrier overlooking the mini ampi-theatre and vast rolling hills covered in grape plants. It was a spectacular site as the sun was going down and the skies changed colors as we ate. I was so happy we were able to get this table, as the restaurant was quite busy already. So what did we eat?! Appy: We couldn’t decide between the clams and the quail, but it was the chorizo tomato broth that swayed us towards the seafood. The clams were SO fresh, I didn’t have a single one that was gritty or chewy. The broth they were steamed in was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned with just a little kick of heat, we had to request a second bread plate to make sure we got every last drop. Mains: Refer to above statement! I had THE best pasta dish I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the exact definition of al dente. I was a little weary of the slow poached egg at first, but I mixed it into the sauce before devouring and it added the perfect creaminess. The salty boar bacon was cut in decent size chunks and there was LOTS of it — enough to have a piece with each bite of pasta. NOM! Other notable entrees included the rib steak and the halibut. We were all too gluttonous to share, so I will relay the opinions that these dishes were amazing as well, but I did not get a taste. The sweet stuff: Chocolate bundino aka a super rich pudding in a mason jar. It was good, but nothing compared to my entrée. So why only 4 stars you say? Well, our server was polite enough, but he was cold and not very attentive. It was hard to be upset though, given the spectacular food and views. Would it be completely insane of me to make the trip up from Vancouver, just to have dinner??? Because that is how good it was.

We love Miadoro. We make a special trip to the restaurant at Tinhorn Creek Winery every time we are in town for the Wine Festivals. This trip was no exception. The menu is wonderful. Their Executive Chef, Jeff, is a gifted man. What an artist — he is so inspiring. We had an exceptional steak and pork chop. The faux polenta was just like popcorn. Amazing. We also LOVE the front of house staff.

Two attempts to visit the winery and the Miradoro Restaurant were stymied this visit to the Okanagan by a full parking lot and limited space for winery guests. We were one of ten cars that came and were unable to park(on a Wednesday and Thursday) both times, so you do the math at the customers that are unable to come and taste wine here at Tinhorn Creek. Its nice to have the option to turn away customers I suppose, but if I ran this business, I’d be more than a little upset imagining all the potential customers that circle the parking lot each visit only to not eat lunch or purchase a bottle or perhaps a case, and potentially never return. Lots of lost business. Perhaps time to expand the parking lot? Provide overflow parking? Have employees out to direct and advise restaurant customers who come all this way with reservations to other options, rather than ignoring their plight in the parking lot and assuming they were a no-show?

Incredible view, amazing food, lots of wine, and delightful servers. It doesn’t get any better than this for me! We always request the corner table on the patio; it gives you the best unobstructed view which is stunning come sunset. The food is consistently amazing and the menu is always changing depending on the season. I have been here many times, and will continue to come here every time I’m in the Okanagan. I’ve never had a problem with service — in fact, I would say its some of the best I’ve experienced: prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The prices are not unreasonable, especially when you consider that they source most of their ingredients from local suppliers, and make everything else in-house from scratch. Try Miradoro and let the food and the experience speak for itself. It’s worth every penny!

Very kid friendly for a winery restaurant. Great view and great wine. I had the elk steak, cooked perfectly and wonderful with the smoked faro(I love faro and wish I found it on more menus). The man had a pasta(carbonara I think) which he said was fantastic and the runts loved their cheesy pasta and kid’s pizza. I especially recommend the Oldfield Syrah.
