I have eaten at Big Rock Inn for many years and about 3 times a year, the food is usually hot and the service is good. I find the food hit and miss, wether the ginger beef is tough or things could be cooked better., it is more than likely because it is sooo busy.
I would recommend to a friend and just hope it is a hit.

Holy crap, is this good Chinese Food! Seriously, I’m really picky when it comes to «americanized» Chinese Food, and this stuff is STELLAR!!!
I would recommend ordering in the restaurant, rather than take-​out or delivery.
People in South Calgary don’t have far to travel to experience the goodness that is Big Rock Inn! It’s right on the main drag of downtown Okotoks, and you’d almost not know that it’s chinese-​themed food walking by it.
If you are looking for the best tasting Ginger Beef in town, this place is the place to enjoy it. It isn’t the white-​washed crap you get at most restaurants in Calgary… There’s actually a fair amount of Ginger in this plate of delish!
With most chinese food places in Calgary, it looks and tastes like the restaurant has one main sauce they just color differently for the different dishes… Not this place! Everything tastes unique, and the food is freshly prepared.
The service is excellent, too… If you haven’t tried this place yet, you are missing out!
