Civello Salon & Spa

FINALLY! A salon that DELIVERS a quality experience! I have been going to the same salon for YEARS and after too many bad hair cuts I needed a change. A co-​worker recommended Civello to me and I am SO happy I took her advice. I called on Tuesday to make a Saturday (same-​week) appointment and was booked for a cut at 11:30 with a senior stylist– Claudine. I arrived early for my appointment and reception took me to hang up my coat and to put a gown on and brought me over to a seating area. Within minutes, Claudine was over to take me upstairs to the station. She listened to what I wanted for my hair, gave me a wonderful shoulder massage and took me over for a wash. Within an HOUR I had a new hair cut and was completely dry. The cut was more than what I wanted. Already booked another appointment there. They are on-​time and wonderful.

It’s a Civello, but in Oakville! Similar to what you expect in Toronto with scalp and shoulder massage, Aveda products, and minimalist décor, but further out. Staff are friendly and Natasha, who cut my hair, did a great job. My only pet peeve is that it is really hard to get a fringe trim, as no appointments are taken for those — you just have to luck out on timing!

I really wanted to love Civello salon. The atmosphere is amazing and they give mini shoulder massages along with a cup of tea. Its upscale décor gives you the feeling of a luxury getaway.
Unfortunately, atmosphere does not make up for brassy colour and a haircut that leaves much to be desired. I used to frequent this salon when Elise worked there as a colourist. Loved my colour. Once she left, I continued to go in hopes for a similar experience both resulting in terrible brassy color despite being upgraded free of charge to a senior colourist. I was never quite satisfied with my haircut. I wanted help and direction from the stylist and didn’t receive much, so I just stuck with the same trim. I left paying an upwards of $ 250 and was never fully satisfied.
The staff are friendly, it is always clean and you are always treated as if you’re royalty which I love, but unfortunately I had to start going elsewhere for my hair.
I still go to Civello for their spa services though. Those I am in love with. They have amazing massage therapist and it is always a relaxing experience. You can’t hear any noise from the salon, so it feels like a little getaway. I love that you can get your makeup done there. I have bought quite a few items after one of the staff members offended to try it out on me and show me how to pair lip colours with eye shadows.
They carry Aveda products which I absolutely love. I will use nothing else on my hair. Not only does it protect it, but they smell amazing!
