Shoppers Drug Mart

Great location that is always well stocked and clean. Whenever there is a sale on something that I want I always come here. Every single time I have gotten what I want as the item is there If I went to the next closest one at Fairview Mall then my chances drop to about 70%.
This is a bigger Shoppers with a beauty boutique — the sales people are really friendly and will help you find what you are looking for. It’s never too busy — although some reviewers stated that on Seniors Day it gets packed. That’s no surprise given the area around the store is mostly senior residences. This store also has a small grocery section as well.
So if you need a lipstick colour, want to get some new scented body lotion and some chips then you can come here. How else am I going to get all dolled up to sit on the couch and watch Netflix without my local Shoppers helping me look good?!

I don’t normally write reviews for chain stores.
But it just seems that every time I’m looking for something at other SDM’s they’re always out of stock. In the end i come here and they have plenty of it on hand.
Guess i should learn just to cut corners and just come straight to this store and save myself a lot of foot work.
Service is good and helpful.

If I had reviewed this in 2010 I would’ve given it 1 star but much has changed since then. Unklike earlier, it’s normal for all the registers to be manned on a Friday night as opposed to just one. Products tend to be labelled more accurately but the shelving can sometimes still be off so check your receipt very carefully; this place is still notorious for misscanned and/​or mislabelled items although there does appear to be improvement in this area.
Needless to say, you will NOT save money on groceries and vitamins when buying at regular price or even a so-​called «price freeze». But look for the actual price-​reduction deals and see if it’s worth your while. If you use your Optimum card wisely then you just might come out ahead – the points-​program is generous if you only get what you need at a good price.
As for the pharmacists, I normally find them to be super-​friendly and knowledgable, especially that German woman whose name I unfortunately do not know.

Lovely ‘new’ location with a deluxe make-​up area. Had terrific service from one of the make-​up techs, helping me find a foundation shade and try it on.

This location of the SDM chain is the best of any of the locations I’ve been to, and I’ve been to quite a few of them in Toronto. The store is well organized, very clean, and there is almost always plenty of stock of the sale items in the weekly flyers.
My only concern is that the Pharmacy counter, despite sometimes having 4 or more people, sometimes take 30 minutes or more to have your prescriptions ready, even when you call in advance, while others that work with only 1 or 2 people have it done by the time you get to their store.
Also, I would advise that you avoid going there anytime between Thursday morning and Thursday late afternoon, as it is one of the busiest locations I’ve experienced for SDM’s Senior’s Days.
But it’s great that it’s open 24÷7÷365, and I’ve had a couple of occasions when I was so glad there was such an SDM a fairly short distance from home.
