I wasn’t expecting much when I stumbled upon this place(looking for a No Frills, actually), but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It’s much cleaner than most Asian grocery stores and is bigger inside than you would think from the outside. There is a bbq section where you can get prepared food, and very large and organized seafood and meat sections. There was also a decent selection of veggies. The price is also on par with most Asian grocery stores(read: cheap) It’s a little out of the way from my usual route, but it’s good to know that there’s a decent Asian grocery store that’s just off the 401.

Come on, come on Turn a little faster Come on, come on The world will follow after Come on, come on Cause everybody’s after love Accidentally in love. no wait. Accidentally in like really. I’ve been driving on Black Creek Drive past this place twice a week now for months and never saw this place. This is a typical asian market with fresh fish and a decent butcher’s shop, but what makes this place so good for me is that they have a BBQ place inside! Woot! That means roasted pork, charsiu-pork, roasted duck and soy chicken and ridiculously low prices. If you’re looking for a big spacious clean Sobeys, this is definitely not your place. Most asian markets are the antithesis of that. The closest thing to that is T&T which is now owned and run by Loblaws. You’re also not going to get a large bakery department, but what they do have is Vietnamese sandwiches(Banh Mi)! That’s what I’ve also noticed about this place, compared to other Asian markets, they have way more Vietnamese products than most. They actually have a Phở soup base section! I’ve been noticing sodium count on everything lately, and with the soup base being 70% and up of your daily sodium intake, I avoided buying it. Instead I happily and blindly go to the Phở restaurant next door and not have to read the nutrition label. There’s also a No Frills down the street, so between these two places I can satisfy my grocery needs for the week. I can also do it on the way home on a weeknight. Score!
