Diane Kroe

Love Diane Kroe. Love it.
If I had much more money than I actually do, I would rock some Diane Kroe every day. Practically everything in the store is in her signature jersey fabric; there’s nothing more comfortable or flattering. Something about the way it’s cut it makes me look amazing.
They carry elegant basics-​with-​a-​twist which are good for the office or paired with your latest Kensington find. These tend towards black, brown, cream, a few more seasonal solid colours (some elegant greens, right now). They also carry some sensational (and comfortable) dresses in a more colourful palette of solids and some bold patterns.
I’ve never met the titular Diane, but her assistant designer is friendly, competent, and has a great eye. It’s a very welcoming store, and there’s no pressure — just help if you want it. Given some time, they can alter anything in the store or make one up in a different colour. Mwah.
Now the bottom line — many of the separates are around the $ 100 -$ 150 mark. I should add that they wear amazingly well, so every once in a while I add an essential pair of black pants or a cool top to my wardrobe. I wish I could do it more often.
