I’m giving two stars only because I really like their food. The service at this location was really bad, so the service would get one star. There were several people ahead of me waiting for their order when I arrived, but I was the only one in line. I made my order, repeating several times that one of the salads needed to have no tomatoes(I am allergic). I gave them my name, making sure to spell it out for them so they had the right name, and then sat down to wait. Orders kept coming out, but none of them were mine. I waited 20 minutes and then decided to check in since I hadn’t received my order yet. They couldn’t find my name at all on any of the receipts so the server asked me what I ordered. I told her and then she found my order, with the name listed as Alexa(not my name, not even close). She checked over the order to make sure everything was there, and I asked her to make sure the salad had no tomatoes. Of course it did have tomatoes, so she had to send it back. I waited another five minutes for a new salad to be made. Then I asked for the coke that was also part of my order, and she said they didn’t have any(the cashier had not told me this). So I chose a different drink. There were no apologies about making me wait so long, messing up the salad, or not even having the right name on the order, meaning that I would have been waiting longer had I not decided to check in after 20 minutes. I get out to my car, and decide to check everything once again before driving away. There was one chicken breast missing. So I go back to the restaurant and tell the server. She tries to tell me that I didn’t pay for the extra chicken breast. I then point out the place on the receipt listing the extra chicken breast. She laughs, then tells the cook, who also laughs. At this point I am getting frustrated after the mistakes plus no apology. Then I have to wait another 10 minutes for the extra breast. In the meantime, the rest of my chicken is getting cold, and there are no offers to keep it warm or give me a new one. The server then gives me the rest of my order and apologizes. However, she doesn’t offer me anything extra or complimentary, even though by this point I have been waiting a total of 45 mins with several mistakes, none of which were my fault. I think they need more staff to cope with times it is busy. I would not go back to this location. Even though I love their chicken I would choose another location before coming back here.

This is a more of a grab and go situation place as there is very limited seating inside. Customer service is friendly and our orders were processed in a timely manner considering the lunch time rush.

The peri peri flavor is good. But seriously huge rip off. Not even half a chicken breast on the large salad and severely over cooked. And there was no Parmesan. I called in to complain about the order and they made no offer to rectify the disappointment. Very bad service and over priced food. Unacceptable. I will never eat there again. This was from the location on 13th and lonsdale. I do not recommend

Uhhhhmmmm Nando’s Chicken? Is that what it’s called? More appropriately it should be called: Nando’s Sides on an extra large heavy ceramic plate while you wait in a smoky dark noisy filled with just about every loud and large famillies or just your average group with hunger levels at high for chicken meat which is most probably tightly caged and therefore skinny no meat just bones leaving you hungry restaurant. Yes, that’s better. Ahhhhhlrighty then lets get down to business :) Service: Nice lady, helpful and willing to explain the menu. Forgets to ask what heat level but I’ve forgiven worse. Order. Pay. Wait. Watch families eat like they have never seen chicken or anything on a plate. Follow the smoke and you can sit outside. Reminded her I needed water and clean table. She came out and did just that because her partner wasn’t available. Cashier, Hostess, Server — too much work for one person — there are two cooks and one other working the tables. Hope it’s hygenic — touching money, tables, wiping, prepping food, etc. You get the selfie? or the pic? Waiting for the food. I realize my water tastes ilke the chicken. Everything from high pitch screaming like Freddiie’s coming to wailing, and people coming and going and endless loud chatter. I sat outiside mind you. Made no difference! The cashier is also a waitress — way too much work for one person! Food: Chicken looks and smells nice. I got the leg and thigh. Unfortunately, the chicken quality has not changed since 4 years ago. Still skinny, stringy, litte meat, and reminds me of the abused chickens 6 to a cage with feces and rats runneth over. The sides were good however — coleslaw and garlic mashed potatoes. All real and tasty! Not much garlic taste but definitely buttery. $ 13 is steep when you have an itty bitty chicken and leave hungry. 4 years ago ordered the same but with fries. Same deal. I can’t imagine how and why people eat there. I prefer El Pollo Loco in CA. At least you get free salsas, lime, tortilla etc. and its crispier. Sorry amigas/gos no go to this place next time. Safeway chicken is ten times better and it doesn’t need no sauce.

Big fan of the double chicken leg. They used to have baked potato as a side but no more, I hope they’ll put it back. Friendly waitresses, great spices, the chicken is soo good…

Had the lemon herb spiced chicken. I could not believe how juicy it was. Tasty, perfectly cooked chicken. It was not cheap, but considering the quality I would say it is fairly priced. I shall return! Soon!

My first time at Nando’s. All this time, I had no idea. So, just in case there are others out there like me, here’s how to order: 1. Go to the counter. 2. Choose a la carte or a meal, that comes with either 1 or 2 sidelines. 3. Sit down and they’ll bring it to you. I ordered the quarter chicken + breast and one sideline meal, which basically means a wing and breast. Splash on some«medium» heat — which was no heat at all for my palette, add a cole slaw and you’ve got yourself a lunch. And you know what? It was pretty good! I’d pick it over Swiss Chalet!

I first ran into Nando’s at the food fair at Metrotown. I loved it right away, but then, I’m a sucker for any food that requires me to wear an asbestos bib to keep from burning holes in my clothes. It was only later that I discovered that Nando’s also has stand-alone restaurants, and when I first moved to North Van, I was delighted to discover that there was one right close to my place. Unfortunately, while the food was still zesty, the décor and the menu featured all kinds of sexual double entendres which were probably intended to be light-hearted and witty, but were really just vulgar. Fortunately, since they remodelled, that kind of boorishness has(mostly) disappeared, and I can concentrate on the food. I am not even going to attempt to describe it. If you like spice, this place is nice. If you’re a wimp, don’t worry: there’s a great golden bum in the sky just a few more blocks up Lonsdale.

I suppose if I want superior food I should stop going to chain restaurants. However, I hadn’t tried Nandos and thought they might be different somehow. Not. If you are looking to move up from fast food, then Nandos is ONE step up. However, if you are truly looking for good food, keep looking. This is definitely fast food, pretty good fast food, but still.

I seem to find myself incapable of going up Lonsdale and NOT stopping by Nandos for something to eat. This is the second Nando’s that I have been to and it is just as good as the first. The quality of the food has been superb each and every time.

This Nando’s location is the best I’ve been to. Maybe the one in Metrotown can rival it a little, but the lack of its own seating and what not works against it so North Van wins! I love this Nando’s. It’s the first one I ever went to in 1998 I think…(i’m sort of making that year up, but I know it was a really long time ago that i lost my Nando’s virginity) and it’s always been consistently good. The other locations can sometimes be too dry with the chicken, or the pita bread, or stingy on sauce but not these guys. Nando’s in general is awesome. I love the spiciness of the chicken and the peri chips with their hot and garlic sauces are heavenly forms of torture. As I type this, I’m forming a huge craving for some now.
