They were friendly and showed up on time. However, after they left we noticed our lamp shade had been completely crushed. They didn’t mention anything about it to us and it would have been hard to not notice the damage(it appears as if something fell on it or as if someone stepped on it.) We contacted them with photos the same day and received no reply. A follow up email to them also yielded no reply. They were NOT the cheapest option — we used them because of their claim to be professional and careful with your belongings. Accidents happen, but where is the customer service after the fact? UPDATE Jan 2016: Lorne, the President of Ferguson Moving, contacted me shortly after I posted my review — resolution is in progress, and I am very pleased that he cares enough to follow up!

Efficient, friendly, prompt, cost effective. Nothing broke. What more do want in a moving company? Bonus: they have a deal with Frogbox to get approximately 70% off the 1-bedroom package, so that was awesome.

No one enjoys moving but these guys made it as painless as possible! Highly recommended! Jani, my moving consultant, came to my home and gave me an accurate quote. He was very professional and great to communicate with through the entire process. On moving day they arrived on time, and the full team of movers were quick and courteous. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Our family have been moved around a lot since we came to Canada from Korea. We had hired many different companies before we hired Jani in Ferguson Moving & Storage. We moved from New Westminster to Coquitlam Centre. Unlike the other company, they worked efficiently and fast! Our family was amazed by their team work and time management skills. EDITJUL27, 2013: Subsequent to my review here, I received a Starbucks card alongside a letter of apology from the company. I appreciate the gesture and the customer-care. However, it does not change my experience described below. I contacted this company for an in-house estimate, based on overrated Internet reviews. I ended-up not doing business with them, but still want to share my short-lived experience. I was directed to the Delta branch and made an appointment. The guy showed-up 45 min late, after I called the company to inquire about his whereabouts. He was allegedly stuck in traffic and didn’t have the courtesy to call. We did a walk through of my apartment and he decided right on that he was not interested in the job. I explained moves couldn’t be done through the main lobby –strata regulation I cannot change-. He started to complain and rant on and on that things weren’t supposed to be that way, that it was dangerous for his movers and too much walking… unreal! To ensure I wouldn’t select them, he quoted me an astonishing $ 2500 to move a 1 bedroom apartment with partial packing @ $ 340 and $ 120 worth of packing supplies… He told me it was the lowest price possible… ridiculous! Needless to say I was not impressed. The whole appointment was a joke and a total waste of my time. I will never do business with this company.

Ferguson staff are professionals and very accommodating to all our needs. We had a problem with the piano since we had several flight of stairs to deal with. We also lost one small table top but overall they tried very hard to make things work. Price was reasonable compared to other movers in the area.

THey dented our furniture, didn’t seem to know how to reassemble the beds, forgot the screws for the dresser mirror, and put back the shelves on cabinets so badly that it got stuck, They claimed to be in the business since 1916! The supe asked me to sign a waiver that the piano would scratch the hardwood floor — what? movers who don’t know how to move a piano? NEVERAGAIN. Update: The president of Ferguson contacted me about my review on this site, asked for details and arranged to repair the furniture, sent %refund cheque, and vowed that the supervisor will be re-trained. I have to say that I am impressed with their service recovery.
