If you’re looking for a great tailor/​dressmaker to do alterations or any sewing, this is the place to go. It’s owned and operated by a lovely Persian woman, Maryam Modares, who does impeccable work. I found her pricing to be very fair and the work completed promptly and on time. Her business, in operation for eight years, is located in a small pocket of interesting little neighbourhood shops and bistros also worth checking out in a residential area on Queensbury just off Grand Blvd.
BTW, bring cash, it helps keep her costs down.

Fantastic! This place was referred to me by a friend when I put the word out that I needed a place that I could trust to get my wedding dress alterations done. They were done well before my tight deadline and flawless. The price was very reasonable. The owner was friendly and very knowledgeable. I’d definitely recommend this to others.

Maryam is fast responsible and very professional as well as her being super nice and friendly, she tailors so many cloths for me and my family and they all turn up to be a perfect fit. I highly recommended her to everyone that I know.

I’ve taken two suits to Maryam and both times it turned out great. Friendly and easy service. This last time was a rush request of 3 hours to hem slacks and if she could, take in a jacket. Both alterations were done flawlessly and turned out great and within the 3 hours. Quality is great. Nice little shop at the base of Grand Boulevard. Highly recommended.

Great friendly service. Was prompt and professional. It’s always nerve-​racking to leave your clothes at an alterations shop but i felt very confident and safe leaving my items there, and i was proven correct apon pick up! They came out perfect just the way we had discussed in our initial fitting. would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Maryam to anyone!

I bought a suit for my son for grad. The blazer fit perfectly, but the pants were far too big. The store owner let me take the pants on approval, so I took them to Maryam at Express Alterations. I wasn’t expecting her to be able to do anything much, but I was delighted with the result. I used to do a lot of sewing, so I know what to look for. She did an amazing job. It was the first time I have used her services, and I would continue to do so for sure.
