They have moved out of Richmond and into North Vancouver into a semi residential neighbourhood just east of the Lonsdale strip. I’ve been visiting them for several years, and most recently in their new location. They’ve been here for about 6 months at the time of writing this. Here’s your dilemma: 1. Go to any non descript store and get yourself a box of Pot of Gold chocolates 2. Come here into North Van and get yourself a box of unique chocolates that I don’t know of any other place in the lower mainland that makes this stuff, but it costs more. Obviously, I’ve made my choice, as you can see. I’d much rather give this out as Xmas gifts rather than the Pot of Gold stuff. They also have a rewards card where they give you a cup of their chocolates after a certain amount of stamps you collect on each $ 5 spent. $ 15 for a gift box of 18 pieces. So what’s your choice?

I see their chocolates at every farmers market and craft fair. I always try their samples but never buy anything, however, did at the last craft fair. Their flavored ones are white chocolate based which in general I am not a huge fan of, however, with these guys I really got into it especially the Mango one. I am so glad that they finally have a store front which I visited the other day. Such awesome customer service.

Coconama is the first ganache chocolate shop in Vancouver. The owner Taka is always very friendly. He often offers samples for customers, which enables us to try out a variety of different & unique flavours before buying. I’ve only ever purchased Coconama chocolate from their booths at various craft fairs & markets.(I’ve never been to their actual store before.) My most recent purchase was at the Portobello West Market, inside the Vancouver Home & Design Show. I was so happy to see Coconama there, as I was craving some melt-in-your-mouth chocolatey goodness that day! I haven’t had a chance to try all of their flavours yet, but of the ones I’ve tried & bought, my faves were: green tea, cherry blossoms, yuzu, black sesame, and earl grey. Their chocolates come in mini-cube 10-piece cups, gift boxes, atop tarts, and in 6-piece packs. I’m definitely a fan of Coconama. With the owner’s great attitude, and the delicious wide variety of unique chocolate flavours, you can be sure I’ll be buying more Coconama chocolate this holiday season!

First time visiting Coconama in North Vancouver. I had their Mango Chocolate cup and it was amazing– it melts in your mouth, creamy, tasty, simply delicious. You can also find them in several Farmers Markets around Metro Vancouver. They are quiet expensive, but worth it.
