We used to love the old Danish guy there, so funny and special. And then he retired, prices went upward, choice and service downward. Still a good place to find not so common European cheese for much cheaper than stores like «Les amis du fromage» for example. It is very easy to find on the other side of Capilano mall.

I love going in here and asking for $ 15 worth of 5 cheeses I can take home and snack on with fruit and bread.

My family has been going to the Cheese Man since I was little, and while we miss Benny, Doug and the family have kept up the business and made it better than ever.
They carry nearly every kind of cheese that you could imagine, and at great prices. The service is always top-​notch. My only unfavourable comment would be the smell… but then, it is a cheese store!
Also, bring cash. Unless something has changed in the last while, they’re cash only.
