Pizza and pasta is awesome. The pasta is a little overpriced but the flavor is worth it. I recommend the prosciutto pizza and the spaghetti bolonese.

Best pizza on the north shore assuming you like real authentic Neapolitan style pizza(sans the wood oven). Great thin crust, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, good sauce, and authentic topping combinations. Been to Italy twice, no need to go back(for pizza anyway). Best to go in to order and have a glass of wine while you wait.

My fiancé and I are in LOVE with this pizza. It is so fresh and has renewed my love for pizza. I am very excited to try their pasta and am going to plan a date night on Wednesday soon as they have no corkage fee. Warning: You will be coming back for more!

Oh lord. The Verde Noce deserves every prize it won. Amazing. Also had the Soppressata which was equally delicious. Absolutely recommend and will absolutely be visiting again.

Tried to have a pizza delivered, 2.5km from the store at 6:30pm on a Saturday, was told they don’t deliver. As I write this it clearly says on their Unilocal ad that they deliver.

Call first to see if they deliver, as it is a very limited area. We live 2.5 km away and they don’t deliver to us. Too bad, we really wanted to try them.

I hope it stays this way. Thin but chewy crust. Very nice sauce and a nice variety of toppings.

I don’t understand why this place has such good reviews. The cheese is blotchy and not stringy, the tomato sauce tastes weird and their toppings are no good. The only thing we liked was the crust. We ordered 3 pizzas and it was def not worth the 30.00, not coming back here again.

Terrible experience a younger man working there was just completely rude and mocking. Food was lackluster very basic pizza margherita with no flavor, poor atmosphere, how is this authentic Italian? I did not see one Italian in this place. I am from Guangzhou and I have been to Italy.

I was in Alberello for dinner yesterday. It is really difficult to criticize a place or restaurant with lots of good comments that I can see from other clients, in this page. But, I am sure, if their success is important for them, so my critics will improve their quality. The wine glass smelled bad(meet and fat…), of course I asked her to change it, and she did it, but the smell stayed on my nose, and I can’t forget it… Also it made me more careful for the next course, which was a Napoli salad: The Napoli salad was not fresh, and not a good quality Balsamic vinegar is used for it… So it made me even more nervous for the last course, which should have been Pizza: Pizza was much more better compare to wine glass, to salad, and to the service. A real Italian, tasty, crispy pizza with proportional amount of herbs and ingredients, not high, not low… Inattention to the wine, not fresh salad, and not good quality vinegar, put a negative memery on my mind, and destroyed all good taste of Pizza… They are new in this area, and I am sure they will improve the quality of services. Just I hope they can do it earlier than losing their clients. For the same reason, I really like to give them another chance.

I posted a previous review about Alberello in October last year when we first discovered it. We are big fans of authentic Italian pizza and the delicious pizzas that this little restaurant serves has now made it our go to place for pizza. The fact that it’s actually in North Van is an added bonus. There was a recently completed Pizza challenge put on by Vancouver Foodster dot com in which 14 notable greater Vancouver pizza restaurants were each challenged to come up with a new pizza creation to compete with each other for bragging rights of who makes the best pies in town. The contest ran for about 3 weeks in March. Check out to see the other entrants. Alberello’s chef Cristina Marianetti’s entry was the«Verde Noce». A house-made pesto base with toasted walnuts, roasted red and yellow peppers, caramelized onion, oyster mushroom sautéed in garlic oil, and aged mozzarella topped with fresh goat cheese & basil. It’s outstanding, have had it twice now. And the winner of the Pizza Challenge? Ist place went to Alberello for their Verde Noche! Congrats guys, you deserve it. My wife & I tried a few of the other restaurant’s entries and there were some very tasty and creative pizzas entered, so the competition was stiff, making Alberellos win that much more impressive. Their Grille pizza(with added anchovies) is also my favorite. House wine is decent and only $ 5. I have no affiliation with this place at all, Just a satisfied customer and very pleased that it’s so good and not too far away from my house.

I’ve been here a few times for lunch. The food is really really good. But I’ve always wondered why it’s so quiet there… I’m very often the only diner in the place. Well, last time I went, the owners(this is a really small mom & pop operation) had some people at one table who were obviously their family or something, and as soon as they sat down, I got no service at all for the rest of my meal. My server(the owner) walked past my table multiple times(I want to say about 8 times?) while I was trying to catch her attention so I could ask for the bill, and she was clearly avoiding my gaze on purpose. She left me waiting to pay for so long that I eventually put down just enough money to cover the food, no tip, and I walked out. The meal was delicious but I have never been treated so rudely in my life by waitstaff. And the whole time, they were sitting down at their friends table and socializing, while ignoring their ONESINGLEDINER in the restaurant. I will never go back. I’m not comfortable giving just 1 star since the food is very good, but the service is THEWORST.

The prices here are great, the service is great, the space is pretty nice. The food is only so-so though. I have really grown to like authentic Italian pizza, so much so that I pretty much don’t like north american style pizza anymore. I was therefore excited to try the authentic pizza here that everybody on Unilocal is raving about. Unfortunately, the Margherita pizza I ordered was overly salty, lacked that really fresh taste I was hoping for. The crust was more crunchy than chewy on the back end, but too doughy and soggy in the middle. The Basil leaves were not fresh, and the mozzarella was of a cheap variety. My table also ordered Spaghetti and the Fungi pizza. Those dishes were unusually salty as well. I ordered a caesar salad that had a tasty dressing but wilted brown leaves. I am being very critical here I realize, and I feel bad because the people were so nice. Maybe the kitchen was off that night. I will give them another chance, if they don’t throw me out due to this review. But tonight I think I am going to il’Castello. Service 5⁄5 Value 5⁄5 Food 2⁄5

I’m Italian and I moved here to Canada not even a year ago. I have deeply knowledge of Italian food because my family owned a restaurant in Rome for more than 15 years. With Alberello Pizzeria I finally found the REAL Italian food. I’ve been there more than once and I can say that everything is amazing: pizza is delicious as well as pasta, salads and desserts. You can definitely tell that the chef is Italian: the ingredients are fresh and the taste is perfect. This is definitely the best food I’ve ever had since I came here, I’m glad I finally found a real Italian restaurant since I came here.

Went here for dinner tonight for the first time. I’ll definitely be coming back. Food tasted home made and fresh and the Nutella pizza for dessert was so good! You can tell this is a family run joint and they really care about your experience. I’ve seen this location turn over many times but I hope this place is here to stay!

For $ 20 including tip you can get their amazing margherita pizza and a glass of their tasty house red wine. That combo together is delicious and a real treat. The salads are also very good. Besides the fact that it’s probably the best pizza in North Vancouver, it’s a nice family that runs the place which makes supporting this local restaurant even better.

Delicious pizza and pasta at this little Italian place and they have good deals for lunch. Not to mention that finally there is a nice patio.
