This place is lovely. It’s like a speakeasy hidden in a grand old Victorian home. There’s a great beer and wine selection, friendly service, and the food is delightful. I had the penne with beef tenderloin in a mushroom cream sauce, and the pasta was just al dente and the beef was surprisingly tender. The restaurant also does nice big salads and a wonderful escargot appetizer.
This is a great spot in North Bay to have a sophisticated, grown-​up dinner in a relaxed, charming setting. Some nights there’s also live music, and it remains one of the few true live music establishments in town. The owners appear to have a real commitment to bringing quality entertainment and hospitality to the community. If you’re in North Bay, I suggest you reward them for it.
