My wife and I were out for an early morning hunt in downtown North Bay to see if we could find a restaurant that served breakfast. After walking the full length of Main Street we gave up and headed back to where we were staying. As luck would have it we stumbled across McFerguson’s Bistro. It was early in the morning so we assumed it would be closed… surprise, the neon sign in the window said Open. My wife is a wizard in the kitchen and expects little less when we venture out into the culinary unknown. The second surprise… the food was not only up to her standards but nicely presented. A nice variety to choose from on their breakfast menu. We both ordered the same, Two eggs easy over, two pieces of pemeal, a variety of fruit, and home fries. The toast that came with the meal were used to soak up the perfectly prepared eggs… Good grief… as I write this it’s almost four in the afternoon and I’m starting to drool thinking about that breakfast. Pleasant and efficient waitress. With one more week left in our visit to North Bay we will be returning for lunch. This Bistro has a chef not a cook.

I had a very juicy hamburger and the soup of the day — cream of potato sausage.
