I’m not sure if this place changed names, cause I went to a restaurant called«Andiamo» which is at the same location. Their website also suggests the same. I wish I read some reviews before going there. We were 4 people and nothing we ordered other than the pizza, which was just average, was even remotely good or worth the price. I got the lunch«special» which was nothing more than a chicken wrap with fries. I didn’t like the fries. The wrap was okay, but that’s not lunch(heck, not even brunch), and it’s not worth $ 11. My friend got a veal sandwich that came with the same fries. It looked bad and he said they probably fried the meat in the same oil they used for the fish. We also got fish and chips, which was just as bad.(frozen fish if I had to guess) The waitress was kind of intrusive. I mean the place wasn’t that busy and obviously we didn’t need that much attention. I’ve been to many other restaurants and I rarely get annoyed by the service. In the end we all got full, and thankfully nobody got sick, but my issues are that you’re getting mediocre food for 3 times the price. Like I said, the only good thing was the pizza(oh did I mention it’s tiny too) and the interior. Otherwise I would avoid this place at any cost.

Food was weak-sauce, though I guess it was priced fairly and service was ok. Lobster pizza was a letdown and gyro wasn’t even as good as a late night street meat vendor would produce. This is what happens when I go somewhere without cell service to check Unilocal on my phone…

wow, I’m surprised to see such bad reviews for this place. We stopped in for dinner and i thought the food was pretty good. I got the avegolemeno soup, nice and hot and pretty good flavors. Then I got the seafood pasta for entrée, which I though was pretty good too. I thought the calamari was a bit weird but hey, tasted good. We didn’t have any problems with the service either. Maybe they’re changing their ways…

Should have read the reviews. I made the account on Unilocal in order to give this review: awful. I had an awesome relaxed day and was looking forward to some good food, but instead of the gyros that I asked, I had some fried pieces of what looked like slices of spam, on an barely chewable pita, accompanied by what was an eatable Greek salad, all for $ 15 – 16 plus tax. Ate the salad, returned the«gyros» and left as soon as I could. Service was decent, but doesn’t make up for the food.

We sat out back on a gorgeous patio. Service was good. The shinning star here was the food. The citrus peppercorn Basa fish was superb as were the stuffed zucchini and the Irish coffee. Also, there were five of us and we wanted to sit outside and of all the places we went up to and asked, they were the only ones to accommodate us.

Really slow service. I am not in a rush so I waited but it took 15 minutes for them to get my order and I am just hearing the guy next table canceling his order as it has taken agesss. Ummm patient come to me

My girlfriend and I always enjoy stopping in at Yiannis for a snack, drink or meal. The bartenders makes the best bloody ceasars around. I love the greek salad and the chicken souvlaki and she loves the spanikopita. We really enjoy it in the sumer when we can sit out back at the charming patio with the water fountain. I must say having been there plenty of times the SURLINESS” that someone mentioned has never been an issue for us we have had nothing short of very welcoming and attentive service.

If you want service with a smile, I suggest anywhere but here. Our server barely engaged in any talk with us, didn’t ask us how our meal was and seemed literally put off that we were interrupting whatever it was she was doing. Upon receiving our bill, I went to pay at which time she seemed annoyed again that I needed change(seriously after service like that, no tip was earned). This place would be great if they had a staff overhaul because it was a cute location and the food was good. Kudos to the chef.

Let me just say that I really wanted to like Yianni’s. My girlfriend and I were up in Niagara-on-the-lake for my birthday, and had a wonderful experience at Zee’s the night before. Walking home, we spotted Yianni’s storefront and resolved to head there for breakfast in the morning — it looked cozy, and they had a breakfast menu plastered right outside! Arriving was a totally different experience, however. To be fair, we were there on a wednesday morning — but we were literally the only diners there(and the town was bustling with some sort of photography group… hundreds of people with cameras? Who knows). I was initially excited for what I was assuming to be a great little greasy-spoon greek breakfast spot. Turns out I was wrong on that account. The waitress ushered us to our table, asking if we would like a coffee. Of course, we said yes before even sitting down — however I would later find out that coffee was $ 2.50 a cup for mediocre diner-style brew. Ehhh, not impressed, and the way she said it I assumed(like at plenty of breakfast spots) that it was included. My fault for assuming, but whatever. Anyhow, when she came back I was quite excited to order the egg breakfast. I don’t eat meat(and there was no plain egg dish without it), so I asked if I might be able to sub the bacon for another side, or an extra egg, or anything really. Bowl of fruit? whatever. Her response kind of bothered me, however: «Absolutely no substitutions.» Seriously? Who says that? Roll it off your tongue, right now. You just –feel– rude. Needless to say I was disenchanted at the idea of paying $ 7 for two eggs and toast(no coffee, homefries extra, of course). After her little rebuttal, she said matter-of-factly that«if you don’t eat meat, you should get an omelette.» $ 10 – 13 for the omelette. Well, OK. $ 13 for breakfast is no big deal. Oh wait, that doesn’t come with homefries either? Grumpily, my girlfriend and I each ordered a side of homefries for an extra $ 1.50 each. To her credit, the omelette didn’t take long to make and it was in front of me pretty soon. There was plenty of feta in my Mediterranean omelette, and it was pretty tasty. The homefries, however, were FROM A BAG. We’re talking McCain/Cavendish variety here. Not only that, they BURNEDTHEM into crunchy little cubes of grease, with little-to-no fluffy potato interior. It was actually like eating grease-soaked potato chips. I had heartburn for HOURS. I was unimpressed when the bill unceremoniously showed up at $ 38. I’m sorry, but $ 5 for two uninspiring coffees, over $ 15 per omelette… …I would have paid that for an incredible, fresh, lovely breakfast at some inn by the lake. But given the atmosphere and the service and the quality of what I actually put in my mouth… …PASS.

Gord and I had breakfast this morning at Yianni’s Mediterranean Bistro on Queen Street. It’s a large restaurant with a patio in the back. We sat in the front of the restaurant because it was brighter. It seemed like the lights were low towards the back … not cozy at all. We both ordered Yianni’s Special. Plus Gord ordered a coffee and I ordered a large milk. Breakfast was good and there was a nice variety. Our server started out fairly friendly. But after we’d ordered and got our meals, she kind of forgot about us. We were trying to catch her attention to let her know we wanted our bill for a while. It took us a long time to be able to pay. This restaurant lost a star because of this.
