Came here on Sunday morning for brunch. It was good with a nice view of the lake. Lots of windows and staff to help out. Staff was friendly and courteous and willing to do group billing with our large party of 13. There was a private all-you-can-eat brunch going on in the same dining room that we weren’t allowed to use. It was a bit of a bummer French toast was great but loaded with sugar. Tables were small like you would expect in a golf clubhouse and with a large group, it meant that some people were sitting in the middle of the VDACL of the table. Prices were a bit on the high side but reasonable value.

We were disappointed that the patio was closed for an «event» aka someone’s birthday party. In the end they did not need the entire patio for the party. There were plenty of extra tables out there but what ever. The so-called hostess was extremely rude to us when we went inside. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing them with our party of seven. The menu was basic and over-priced. The décor was outdated and stodgy. The food was cafeteria quality. My vegetarian lasagne was similar to a frozen entrée version. The only redeeming quality was the beautiful view. Never again.

Food was more pub style and not tasty. I wouldn’t go there for the food but if you want a good deal and a nice view then give it a try. If you want to enjoy your meal, go somewhere else!

You’re basically paying for the view of the water if you dine here. Food was not good and neither were the drinks. After walking along Queen St browsing the shops and restaurants, we found ourself here and decided to check it out for an early dinner since they have outdoor seating on their patio along the Niagara River. I ordered a piña colada, $ 8, which tasted like it didn’t have any alcohol at all. I also ordered a lobster roll with fries, $ 15 and it was a very bland sandwich. We also shared the antipasto plate, which I assumed which had a two triangles of cheese, some meats, beets, crostini, quinoa, and some other things that weren’t very memorable. It wasn’t good either. Service was slow and inattentive.

the best bargain in town and the best kept secret in NOTL. Really good food at a cheap price.

Yup. Service is slow on the veranda. But when the weather is beautiful the last thing you want is them whipping you in and out in 20 – 30 minutes. This is a place you really want to linger. The food is very good(definitely not mediocre) and prices are reasonable(don’t know why someone thought it was overpriced). The menu is pretty simple which means that each dish is fresh and well prepared. And while the service can be slow they are very accommodating, polite, cheerful(no sour faces among this crew). I’ve brought my dog several times and they’ve provided her with a nice, large bowl of water to sip as she lay at my feet. I hesitated to give them a good review since I don’t want to have to wait for a table as more people discover this place. I just love it!!!

Indifferent service and ordinary, overpriced food. The view is nice.

We sat on the patio, for the view. What we didn’t realize that having a view meant poor service, and mediocre food. I had the pork sandwich which was okay, my wife had the shrimp wrap, where the shrimp was bland. We always had to ask another waiter to find our server, and the place wasn’t that busy. Go there for the view, not the food or service.

+ scenic view, + good clubhouse fare and local brews, — can get noisy Our innkeepers(Hoppy’s B&B) recommended the clubhouse to us since we were looking for a scenic view for dinner, which is by the way rare in the area! From the patio you can see Toronto on a clear day, Fort Niagara on the US lake side and the many sailing boats that cruise Lake Ontario. Besides the beautiful scenery the golf club offers a really delicious menu, which you can enjoy inside the clubhouse or on the patio. It contains a tasteful fare of sandwiches, salads, and a few larger entrees like fish and chips or rib-eye steak. My favorites for sure are the chicken, brie and cranberry wrap and the pulled pork sandwich. Next to local microbrews the restaurant serves wine from the surrounding vineyards such as Reif and Between the lines. Overall a nice casual hang-out beside the more touristy and higher priced Queen Street. + scenic view, + good clubhouse fare and local brews, — can get noisy on the patio since some people are unable to get up without pushing the metal chairs over the floor forever Average price for an entrée: CAN $ 15 – 20.
