Really great. We stayed three nights and had three incredible breakfasts, each very different and delicious. The room was perfect, the sheets new and comfortable, the room was always clean. No detail was missed.
The hostess was very engaging and gave us a lot of great advice on seeing the area. She was spot on each time.
The only drawback is that it is about six blocks from town. While it would have been nice to be right on Queen St, the price difference definitely made it worth it. This place is an incredible value and I’d stay there again.

This is an outstanding Bed & Breakfast located in a charming town. John’s Gate has 3 rooms, each with an en suite bathroom. Two rooms have Queen beds and the third is a convertible Twin/​King room. Each room has its own TV as well.
It is immaculately clean and spotless. Guests are requested to remove their shoes upon entering. There is a large basket of slippers available for use around the house.
The common area has a fireplace, TV and seating area. There is a long common table for breakfast. Tea, coffee, and juice are available all the time.
Breakfast was amazing. We had homemade kafir (yogurt), fresh fruit, spinach frittata, French toast, almond cake. I’m guessing I had about 900 calories! We are promised a Persian breakfast the next time we come.
Our family took over the whole B & B and we felt at home, like we were visiting family.
Our host even provided us with coupons for dessert at the nearby Pillar & Post Inn, which is 2 blocks away.
