We stayed here in August and went to a show across the street. We absolutely loved our room! We were early, and there was a Keurig for our use and we were also able to find a free movie or two for later on while relaxing in a private waiting area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Would definitely stay here again!

We rented out about ten rooms over Labor Day weekend for our biennial family reunion. The hotel itself is lovely upon first glance, located just up the street from Lake Ontario, close to Niagara River Recreation Trail and Queen’s Royal Park, as well as a ten minute brisk walk into the two center(about five minute walk to the Shaw Festival Theatre). This quaint, vine covered three-story house converted to hotel shines in their customer service. They are hospitable, kind and incredibly accommodating. Quick to give recommendations, answer questions and schedule their free in town shuttle service if needed. The have a free wine and cheese hour every day(albeit a little lacking on the cheese part with only the house-made«beer cheese» a spicy and savory pimento styled cheese). The wine is also always the same, which gets old quick. Coffee and tea is also always available in the lobby as well as homemade cookies. They serve a continental breakfast daily, which is lovely, although just a little off. The room which houses breakfast is too small to accommodate all the guests, do just hope that everyone isn’t an early riser. You can choose to sit out in the small terrace garden, which is a lovely addition to the hotel as well. Another odd fact about breakfast is they have servers to bring drinks and«manage» tables, although breakfast itself is buffet style. I think the servers honestly just complicate the already crowded process a bit, although they are over-the-top lovely! And breakfast itself is great, coffee and juice is ordered from servers while a bar of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, breads, scones, cereal, toast with your choice of topping, yogurt and a hot item are all served. I think after spending some time in NOTL, I realized there are always tourists and people visiting. Things get used and run down quickly. You’ll notice this with the carpets at the hotel although for the most part things are very pristine. The rooms themselves are very comfortable with large working electric fireplaces. Most have large bathtubs and showers, tv’s(you can borrow DVD’s – as well as boardgames! – from downstairs), wine glasses, ice buckets, etc. Unfortunately the rooms don’t have refrigerators(I converted the in-room recycling bin into a make-shift fridge by filling it with ice), which was very inconvenient. Also, the lighting in the rooms is lacking, although the bathrooms do that some impressive built in magnifying mirrors(and hairdriers!) Also, the complimentary toiletries were very budget friendly. Room service will make your bed in the morning and restock any used, complimentary toiletries. Overall, while I did enjoy my five day, four night stay at Harbour House Hotel, it was truly the service that made the experience the most enjoyable. This is not a budget friendly hotel and for the price, I think some of the luxury aspect was missing. I would look into other options before staying here in the future.

I cannot say enough positive things about this place. It is located just a short walk from the lake just outside of the main little town area. When we arrived we were greeted by Sara who was very friendly and helpful. She offered suggestions on wineries and food for us(we are vegan) so it was a nice start to our stay. We were then personally escorted to our room where all of the nice features were pointed out. The rooms are nicely updated and our room had a fireplace. They also had a personal note written to us with fresh cookies. They host a social hour where a different winery from the area is featured with crackers and cheese. There are games to play and a dining area where you can sip wine. The breakfast was awesome! They offered a variety of fresh fruit, pastries, cereal and a homemade strudel. This is definitely our favorite place we have stayed this far on the trip. Oh and the parking is free in a lot beneath the building :)

After looking at several locations in the ara for a quick get away we ended up at Harbour house due to the excellent customer service of the people I spoke to and emailed. Prompt answers with a very personal touch were the deciding factor and we were not disapointed with the room or facilty. Excellent breakfast included and free shuttle service around town. would definately go back

This is a lovely hotel situated next to the harbour(the clue is in the name!) and only a few minutes walk from the main street(Queen). The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast is served on-site however there are no dinner or bar facilities, which is not really a problem as there are so many great places nearby. There is a wine tasting every afternoon, but unfortunately e never made it back to the hotel in time, but it’s a great touch for those wanting to become familiar with the local wines. We enjoyed a 2 night stay there last week and enjoyed every minute of it.

A very charming place to stay in a fabulous town. I would visit again and not hesitate to stay in the same Inn. Beautiful rooms — large, quiet and well appointed. We stayed in 2 rooms as the suite was not available for our entire visit(someone else had already reserved it). Both had fireplaces and had their own uniquenesses which lent to the quaintness. Robes were complementary and there were fireplaces in each of our rooms. Service was good but not on par with top-rated hotels — I saw little evidence that they would go the extra mile. When we asked about hiking/walking trails, we were given vague guidance even though there were wonderful paved paths nearby. When we made reservations, we were told that there was a shuttle service and found out after we arrived that it was only available between 4 and 10PM and had a very small service area(3.3 km). This information would have been helpful before we made the decision to forego a rental car. They did allow us to check out late on our departure date — much appreciated for such a small place. Breakfast was good and the area was cozy.

This is a beautiful inn. Excellent service and amenities. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed with one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. Their complementary breakfast is outstanding. It is a European breakfast with most items made in house. They also have wine tasting every afternoon. I highly recommend staying if you plan on visiting NOTL.

A beautiful property on Niagara on the Lake. It is an Inn, which I prefer over the too personal B&B establishments. The main street is a nearby walk away, or one may call on the personal shuttle service to the main road.(This operates only after 4pm) Beds are comfortable, establishment clean, elegantly furnished, quiet, and service is attentive and polite. Only downside is no in-house restaurant for dinner. They offer dinner at a sister property which patrons may be shuttled to and fro. One morning I woke up to canons, yeah I jumped out of bed, what the heck? the War of 1812 was being re-enacted outside the window. lol But they do these kinds of things at Niagara on the Lake. Just be warned or check ahead. The canons can be heard anywhere and no fault of the Inn. Oh I had the best chocolate croissant in my life here, breakfast was supremely deliciously. I can’t wait to come back. Perfect place to get some needed R&R.
