I cannot believe there is no Unilocal on this FANTASTIC Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Niagara-​On-​The-​Lake!
I probably have stayed here over 10 times now, the last time being September 2012.
As someone who researches B&Bs for a travel website, I have stayed in my share of everything from the creepy, to the filthy, to the police state, to the Baroque, to the set of «Bride of Chucky».
Ben Brae is in a category all its own. Pristine and Inviting.
They have 3 rooms and I’ve stayed in all 3.
All are immaculate, Cozy and well appointed.
My favorite is the romantic «Chablis» Room with its own fireplace, jacuzzi and 4-​poster bed.
The prices are unbelievably competitive and I’ve never found anything that comes anywhere near their quality for their price point.
Ben Brae is situated in a quiet cul-​de-​sac right in Niagara-​On-​The-​Lake and has a delightful, beautifully landscaped and inviting entrance and a gorgeous ½ acre meticulously landscaped backyard where you can put up your feet, read a book, catch a snooze in the sun while the birds fly overhead and the squirrels chatter and play in the bushes.
The hosts put out little welcome snacks and on occasion a little welcome gift, like something you might need such as shampoo or lotion.
They have discount passes to all the area attractions and they make sure you get them.
Now to the Breakfast. Always 2 courses. They use all fresh fruits in season from the area for fruit salads served with yogurt. Often there’s a yummy breakfast bread or fresh baked goodie. Big glasses of juice with refills. Coffee and Teas with refills. And the Hot Course. In a word: YUM!
There’s always a protein, great toast and a veggie component and always delicious. With a capital «D».
David and Lynda are your Hosts and they balance that fine line between interaction and hovering. They are fantastic at what they do. Kind, considerate, extremely welcoming and super easygoing. They always have great tips on what to see and do and they always «Leave a Light On» for You no matter what time you roll in. Simply great!
