Food was seriously over priced. Every dish was at least 40 dollars. I went with my girlfriend because we had a 40 dollar voucher so we thought it wouldn’t be too bad. We were so wrong. We had a 3 course pre fixed meal for 65 dollars and the pork chop entrée(39 dollars). But the server also gave us bottled water which we didn’t know was 7.50 a bottle. The food itself was good. Not Great. but when the bill came the total was 180 dollars. They charged an extra 40 dollars in a pre fixed tip. Which was ridiculous. So our 40 dollar voucher was useless. Ultimately we had to pay 140 dollars. I would definitely not come back. Do not bother with his place

Pricey food. Priceless view of The Falls. Atmosphere was confusing. Entrance from elevator opens to a closed hallway, leading to a kind of ship board buffet. Once I found the restaurant, I saw that it is unadorned, reminding me of a down market Scandinavian place. But my mussels with shaved fennel in cream broth were excellent. Locally sourced walnut bread came with the selection, and was also delicious.

Great food, great service. We were here on a Saturday night and the restaurant was dead… It’s very dimly lit and intimate. Best part are the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the falls– very cool. Food was fresh and local. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer, but they’re more like a main-sized dish. The duck confit salad was fresh tasting, but I found the lettuce salad to be slightly heavy-dressed. The beef tenderloin was well cooked and very tender. I would definitely come back, but it is definitely not an out-of-the-ordinary restaurant. Keep up the great work!

View is spectacular. Though they have a limited menu the food was great. Ambiance was kind of lacking as the live music didn’t start until 8 and by that time we were having dessert. Service was excellent.

Went here for desert. Ordered a sticky toffee pudding and flourless chocolate cake. The 2 arrived without any desert spoons when both of them are served with ice cream. I asked the server for desert spoon and let’s just say that I waited until 3 qtr of the ice cream with the pudding were melted away and nothing came. So I had to walk up to the bar and asked for one. Not good. The chocolate cake… Goodness I can’t begin to fathom how they call it a chocolate cake when we were served literally a fancy version of kordike bar… They call the 2 thin strip of chocolate covering chocolate cake??? Shame on them… Service was awful, desert was awful… 1 star hands down…

This is a nice quiet place to enjoy a fine meal with an amazing view. I would say this place is pricy but for the view and the food it’s great. Being a prepared guy I managed to forget my nice cloths on the other side of the border and went in casual. I don’t like to be underdressed at nicer restaurants but I messed up. Lucky they don’t seem to have a dress code and sat us right away. We enjoyed the pork belly slider to start with drinks. We moved onto the bison steak with fries salad and peppers and if I remember correctly the haddock wrapped in Parma ham. Both very good. The service and speed of the food was great and again. The view. Nothing like eating a nice meal and enjoying the falls. I say if your looking for a little more romance and no kids screaming and running around. This is a nice place I enjoy a meal.

What a lovely and romantic dinner. First off, the view is amazing. Floor to ceiling windows that lets you stare out at the falls. Reservations are recommended and make sure to ask for a window seat. Candles on the table give it a nice romantic vibe. Our server was excellent. Checked up on us, changed utensils and plates as the evening went by, was friendly and offered recommendations. The bread that came out right before our meal was delicious. It had some olives in it and was served with a tin of soft butter. Mmm mmm! We ordered two appetizers, the mussels with coconut and lemongrass cream sauce, and the green salad. Mussels were good and flavour was pretty light in my opinion. The salad was amazing and I would definitely order it again in a heart beat. For mains, we ordered the duck and the rainbow trout. Both were perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. Cocktails and mocktails were excellent. Note, they don’t advertise any mocktails but just ask for it or tell them what you want. Dinner for two came out to be around $ 180. It’s pricey but you get a great meal with a great view.

Went here for our romantic evening out on our trip to Niagara Falls. Found a travelzoo special for a 3 course meal with tenderloin and two glasses of wine. Seemed like a decent deal and nice restaurant. First issue — they brought out the special menu and no steak, just salmon or chicken. We got one of each begrudgingly. First course, my wife got the salad and I got the soup. The salad was nice — large and lots of good stuff in it. The soup was bad. Barely lukewarm and extremely watery and bland. Had to ask for some salt and pepper to try to give it some flavor. The salmon entrée was ok but barely had 3 pieces of squash and a little bit of quinoa. The chicken was ridiculous. Tiny, cold and blah. A tiny stuffed thigh and a tiny wing. Some potatoes and wilted kale and that was about it. The dessert was pretty good. The view was nice. The service was ok but very slow. I definitely would not recommend spending big bucks on this restaurant.

Way oversold. For a 4 diamond restaurant I expected more. Much more. Let’s start with our stepping off the elevator and immediately thinking we had taken a wrong turn — we had walked into the buffet. This can’t be right. So we took a U-turn but soon found out it WAS right. Windows is just off the buffet to the left. We were early so we opted to get a drink at the bar. We saw a bar to our right(we later discovered there’s one in Windows). We sat down and were abruptly asked what we were waiting for not once, but twice. We explained we had a reservation in 20 minutes and asked if we were okay to sit here– quick apologies followed. Upon check in to Windows we were given a seat in the second row. This was in the high traffic area just as you enter the restaurant with virtually no view. Fine. Except I made reservations 4 weeks ago and noted it was our anniversary. Apparently this gets you nothing. We dressed per the dress code(business casual) but saw women in denim cut off jeans and a man in shorts and a muscle tank top. Really? I’m not usually one for dress codes but this pushed the limit. The bread was delicious. Clearly freshly made. We had the cheese platter as a starter and it was wonderful. For dinner I had the salmon(very good) and my husband had the tenderloin medium rare. It came medium well. It was over 10 minutes before the server stopped by so we managed through it and did not send it back although we did show here it was NOT medium rare. As we ate more we discovered it was basically charred on the outside. Inedible. When it was time for the check she did take off the steak but made a rather big fuss about how she«fought» for us. Huh? It should not have been battle. A manager should have come over to apologize and take care of it. Plain and simple. Overall this meal was nothing better than I could have had at Outback Steakhouse. Disappointing and did not live up to expectations. Comped steak or not.

Reservation, reservation, and reservation. I got the best seats at the restaurant to view the falls, of cos through the windows. Food is fine. I like the farm to table concept. We actually liked the berry tart the most. This was my first dinner of my trip at the falls.

My wife and I came here our first night in Niagara. We stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls and got many recommendations from the hotel staff about the restaurant. We were more comfortable with the price because of the $ 40 off voucher they provided us with. We made a reservation online a few hours ahead and were seated immediately, even though we arrived 15 minutes early. Since the restaurant was only catering to a few other parties, they gave us a table with the magnificent view of the falls, easily one of the best views in the house. Our waitress was new, but very welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu. We started off with a cocktail each — the peach Creamsicle and the maple whiskey sour. Both were well crafted, but not very potent. The whiskey sour was the star beverage. Then we were brought the bread service — a warm and steaming honey foccacia with some sort of homemade butter. It was delicious and whet our appetites for the rest of the meal. We then split the mixed lettuces and sprouts salad. It was an experience of flavors with the chevre cheese brulee and bacon. I’d highly recommend it. I should mention that this was part of the three course prie fixe I’d ordered. My entrée was a medium rare beef tenderloin on a bed of leeks and potatoes and topped with caramelized onions and a meritage jus. Juicy and succulent, a wonderfully cooked piece of meat. I’d highly recommend it to anyone. My wife ordered the chicken two ways. Our favorite was the breast wrapped in bacon and its amazing chipotle herb cream sauce. The potatoes it came with were some of the smoothest we’ve had. We were stuffed by now, but a dessert was included in my meal. Today’s offering was their lemon tart topped with a mascarpone mousse and fresh strawberries and basil. It was delicious and refreshing. And by this point, the falls were starting to light up. It was a truly one in a lifetime experience.

When searching for top restaurants to eat at on the falls, Window by Jamie Kennedy was at the top. My husband and I were celebrating our one year anniversary and wanted something top notch. We were staying at the hotel and were happy this restaurant was in the hotel, because I didn’t feel like freezing my butt off walking somewhere else. One thing that was weird was how close it was to the buffet. It didn’t entirely feel like its own restaurant and the noise from the neighboring buffet was a little loud. We were seated by the window with an amazing view. It was a little chilly(but we are from Arizona, so everything is cold). Our waitress seemed very nice and helpful. We ordered the trout and beef sirloin as well as a bottle of wine. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and pinpointed the origin of the wine and how rare it was supposed to be. The food was amazing. Delectable and savory are two words that come to my mind. I am not a big meat eater and order steaks only on rare occasions and this was one of the best ones I have had(and this is in comparison to Ruth Chris and Durants in Phoenix). To top it all off we got a lemon tart that was the perfect ending to our anniversary dinner.

The overall experience at this restaurant was good. The service was great, our waiter, Terry, was extremely friendly and polite. I ordered the salad with beets and blue cheese to start. It was really tasty. The blue cheese isn’t overwhelming, and if you want you can take some off if you’re not a huge fan like me. For my main course I had the chicken. One had stuffed apricot which was good and the other was just like a fried chicken. This came with ashes potatoes with bacon bits. The taste was good but there was nothing exceptional about it. It wasn’t quite as good as I expected. For dessert I had the fruit tart which was pretty good. The portions were good, I could not finish all my food. But for the price the flavours could have been better. We had a table right next to the window and The view was beautiful. You could see the falls and the Christmas lights in the surrounding area(we were there during the holidays).

Came here twice, both times I dined with my girlfriend and both times we left incredibly happy. I had the salmon and she had the tenderloin followed by a chocolate cake for dessert. The salmon was moist and tenderloin by far the most TENDER of all the loins(that joke was a must!). All I can say is this is a MUST if you’re looking for a classy restaurant with amazing staff and even better food.

Mrs. AfterTaste and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We made sure to make the reservations for a Sunday night so we could enjoy the beautiful fireworks over the waterfalls. We ordered the Roasted B.C. SableFish and the Beef Tenderloin. Both were presented and tasted excellent, you can taste the freshness from the farm to table cuisine. For dessert we topped it off with a chocolate cake and the ice cream sandwich. Overall one of the most delightful and romantic dining experiences.

I live in NYC, so I try a lot of unique foods, but dining at Windows was quite the foody experience! They really know how to bring super interesting flavors together! We tried the Squash Soup with Chorizo, The Lump Crab California Roll and the Roasted Sablefish. OMG. I never thought I would ever taste any fish THAT good. The soup was just out of hand, what a smart move mixing the squash with chorizo! And the California Roll had cilantro on it, making it such a refreshing tasting choice! Even the bread and butter they gave was amazing… not to mention the coffee! The view was just top notch, especially at night when you can see the falls all lit up. The service was also great! Our server Lauren was very attentive and had really good suggestions for us on their drinks menu. Overall A++ experience. Everything was just really wonderful! If I’m ever in Niagara Falls again, I know where I’m eating!

I’ve dined at Windows twice now, once with my boyfriend for our anniversary and a second time with a friend. Both times we were able to arrange seating at the Window overlooking the falls to watch the fireworks at 9pm. I had the steak dish the first time and the salmon the second time. Food was great and you can expect the quality to be like that of Jamie Kennedy’s other restaurants. Our waitors were superb each time and had great wine recommendations. We were able to order a bottle from Vignoble Rancourt which is a small winery in Niagara-on-the-lake that I’ve visited a few times and the second time my guest ordered a bottle from Italy that he had been to(he is Italian) but I cannot remember the name — it was fantastic and he was impressed that they carried it as well. So 5 stars on the wine list! Overall if you’re going to dine here make sure you ask for a Window seat as that really is the main treat and makes the cost worthwhile.

We had dinner here with friends the last night of our visit to Niagara. The view and the service can not be beat. We had a spectacular view of the falls and the gardens below. The waitress provided great service and suggestions. The food for the most part was delicious. I had the Nova Scotia scallops and found them very fresh but a bit on the salty side. The sweet onion polenta was spectacular. As was the butter tart, we had for dessert. Wine selection was very diverse.

Lovely view, restaurant seriously hyped by the management of the Sheraton hotel. Our hotel stay package came with a coupon, offering what we thought was a substantial discount. The view was incredible(I know, I am repeating myself, but that’s intentional). Presentation and service all first rate. So why such a relatively low rating? A meal at that price with dishes recommended by the wait staff should be prepared and served flawlessly. One of us ordered scallops over polenta. It was nearly perfect. First rate. Now the bad news. I ordered the lamb shank. Nicely presented, substantial sized portion. But overcooked… dry. Probably prepared earlier in the day and then reheated. Again, inexcusable in such a restaurant. Should be three and a half stars.

Windows is located at the top floor of Sheraton on the Falls. If I going to rate the restaurant solely on the view. I would have give it a 4.5 star, as you have such a great view of Niagara Falls, that’s really impressive and romantic… However, sadly the food… the food really really fall short. I really support chef and restaurant that feature local sustainable products and especially this restaurant featuring Canadian culture. With Windows located at Niagara Falls, the top of every tourist’s must visit list when they are in the area, this is perfect to show them what is Canadian cuisine and also the ability to feature what Niagara Falls region has: wine, fruits, fresh vegetables from the farmland and much more. Windows have a seasonal menu, which is printed on the table mat and a daily menu plus a Table D’Hote which is a 5 courses menu of what’s on their seasonal menu. Most of the dishes are priced under $ 20 aside from the Organic Chicken Pie($ 23) and Grilled Rib Eye($ 14) which are quite reasonable and the wine list featured all Niagara region wines are from $ 6 — $ 8 for a 3 oz glass. Table D’Hote($ 65) seems to be a good choice if you want really try out the menu. There are 2 options for you to choose from. But the problem is either everyone at the table goes for Table D’Hote… if not, you will have to order from the daily and seasonal menu. We decided to try out both Options with a wine pairing for Option 2. BTW, the wine is elected by Tony Aspler for the food pairing. Option 1: Root Vegetable Salad — really healthy and fresh, but all the carrots and turnips has the same texture and similar taste Chicken Liver Mousse — smooth and creamy and well seasoned! I think this is one of the best dish for the night Hazel Crusted White Fish — fish really overcooked and rubbery Beer Braised Short Ribs — the rib itself is really tender but the taste is really one dimensional all I tasted was the bitterness of the beer… Tarte Tartin — I love warm dessert.: a version of a warm apple pie! Option 2: Roasted Beets and Niagara Gold — love the warm melted cheese on the mini potatoes, quite interesting as there are quite flavour and texture and they all worked well together! A little heavy though! Great Lake Fish Chowder — interesting combination of fish filet and smoked fish, quite savoury Vegetarian Tartar with Goat Cheese — quiche in a buttery crust. not bad but forgettable! Saltimbocca — you really need to love pork and salty food to like this one… the pork is really overcooked and just pure saltiness from the prosciutto and the seasoning. the lemon sage are not doing anything to the dish… Chestnut and Chocolate Pot de crème — I love chestnut but the ice cream though has bits of chestnut inside but the flavour is not that! The pot de crème is a little disappointing too… don’t like the taste and the texture. and I usually love anything chocolate! The wine pairing though is quite good at $ 20 for 4 glasses. but unfortunately they didn’t enhanced my food… There’s quite a lot of food for the money we paid… and maybe it is «winter» it is much local fresh products locally… the menu is boring, the execution is boring… maybe spring/summer/fall will be better? I really don’t know… Services is really good here, our waiter is professional and friendly and check on us often. maybe a little too often??! BTW, they don’t accept AMEX!?!
