This was a win/lose stop for us yesterday. Actual fried dough was crispy and good. Maple spread was delicious. However the chocolate sauce was stingy straight out of a Hershey bottle, caramel sauce also stingy and almost flavorless. They should really pay more attention to the quality of the toppings, even DQ does that…

wow. We split two tails amongst the four of us, devoured them, turned around and ordered two more. Delish. Maple was the favorite. Apple cinnamon was like fresh apple pie, warm out of the oven. Chocolate hazelnut and triple trip were like chocolaty dessert goodness.

WAT? A form of fried dough previously unknown to me? I am so in love with these pastries! I am from the US and just had them over the weekend. It is like my favorite place I ever found on Unilocal. Not like it was the best food I ever ate, but, like, it’s unlike any other pastry I have had, and really, how many completely different forms of fried pastry can there be??? These say they are made of whole wheat… to me they are like the child of a donut and an elephant ear. Insanely good! and messy. with a big heaping of Canada tax. We got one with the nutella and the next day one with the maple. I was like«can I have one with nutella and crack?» «Oh we put crack in all of them» That convo didn’t really happen but it might as well have! I can’t go, I live in Cleveland. But go have one for me. *just a recap… interesting pastry if you are in the mood. add a coffee for 1 $ if you’re cold. *oh and if you’re ‘Merican and use credit card you gotta have your chip card… but your company probably sent you a new card and it will be fine. You have to put the chip in the end of the machine and sorta pay attention.

Amazing! Like an elephant ear but ye dough isn’t as dense. My husband and I tried the maple one– went the Canadian route lol. Delicious! We ended up buying another one. :) I just wish we had found them sooner on our vacation. If you happen to be in Canada, you have to try one!

Fried dough with whatever toppings you please. Holy moly this place is great! I got a beaver tail with Nutella and bananas and it really hit the spot. The guy working there was super friendly too. Kept us entertained while we waited for our heavenly tails.

Pretty good! Fun location and quick service. The outer crust was like fried dough-super yummy! The middle was more crunchy which i personally dont like.

Best Canadian dessert ever! My favorite is No. 6, which is chocolate hazelnut spread, peanut butter, and reeses pieces pieces. Soooo yummy!

A little disappointed that these Beaver Tails are much smaller than the ones I had while visiting Banff. I felt a little ripped off, but it’s still tasty fried dough covered in my favorite toppings. My favorite is the cinnamon sugar with lemon squeezed on it.

Crazyyyy good. If you’re craving sweets or have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you! I got the apple cinnamon, the cheesecake one, and the chocolate and banana. All super delicious! It was so light and fluffy and massive as well. Being in a touristy area, I guess the $ 6.20 was worth it. I missed it at first because it is down a side street and is a small little store but it is worth finding! It is behind Burger King and near the upside down house!

Love the plain with the cinnamon, however I was feeling rather adventurous and decided to try the apple pie version. It wasn’t bad but very filling and gooey from the apple paste. So I’d say, if you want something sweet and just plain ol’ good — then just try the cinnamon version since that’s always best. I have yet to try the nutella banana but I presume that is also a fan favourite. I will say, that due to its poor location it has a low customer response during dead days at the Falls but I guess unless you really know it’s already there then you know where to find it. My boyfriend and I found this place just by walking around and since he knows I love beavertails we decided to grab one. I remember when we never had them here in Ontario, and I would have to venture to Montréal just to remember the taste. Glad it’s made its way in Ontario unless there was one here since before and I just never knew: c

Pros: delicious, fresh, has variety, Cons: it gets too sweet toward the end so its a good idea to split. no place to sit. you gotta eat standing up. no parking spot in front of it which normal throughout the area given that its a high traffic tourist area.

This place is very small, you have to seat on a bench facing store. The one young man that served me was very nice. This is a Canadian tradition so I just had to have one. OMG, it was the best. I got the Carmel apple, cinnamon apple something, it was great. Fried pastry long & flat like a beaver ’ s tail and topped with your choice of topping. It is still warm when they serve it to you. Soooooo good!!!

Get the first beaver tail on the menu! it has the cinnamon and it’s definitely the most classic one. beaver tail is the one snack that’s decently priced in the niagara region. however no seats makes people go next door and use the other stores patio.

A tasty treat at the end of a long day in Niagara Falls. We grabbed a cinnamon and sugar beaver tail and enjoyed the sweet treat with a smoothie too. I really wish I had tried the hazelnut one — but I was trying to be good. I would definitely come back and enjoy the fried dough goodness shaped like a beaver’s tail! Store front is located on Oneida Ln.(next to the Burger King) if you’re having trouble finding it!

BeaverTails pastries have been referred to as a Canadian culinary icon. These deliciously addictive, traditional whole-wheat pastries are hand-stretched to resemble the tail of a beaver, one of Canada’s best-known national symbols. Yep ! a 10⁄10

If you’re an American, and have never had a Beavertail before, DOIT!!! Fried dough shaped like a beaver tail, with delicious toppings. The fried dough is different than carnivals in the states, it is lighter and less dough-y, and the toppings are delicious. My favorite is the one with Reeses Pieces and chocolate on top, although the maple is pretty good too! Definitely a fun must-do during a trip to the Falls. They are very rich, so consider splitting one among 2 adults.
